Commercial Description:
The Rosée d’Hibiscus is a soft spoken wheat beer. The rose colour comes from the hibiscus flowers added during the brewing process. The aromas and flavour of this tropical flower are very prominent in the beer, giving it a slight acidity and a very agreeable fragrance. It is the perfect thirst quencher on a hot summer day.

Poured an interesting red hue, with a minimal off-white head. Somewhat pinkish at first. A spicy/floral aroma with a hint of clove, orange and lemon. A flavorful taste with a small body. A very interesting brew.

11.5oz beer. Cloudy tan orange, with a touch of hibiscus red. Tropical fruit and malt aroma. The hibiscus taste is very unique compared to the countless fruit beers Ive had, very original product. Tart, yet also has a solid malty thickness to it. Medium bodied, with some depth to it. Quite an exceptional beer from a truly excellent brewery.

Bottle from Sams Clybourn. Very attractive pinkish red color. Nose is a touch tangy and very floral. Im a big fan of jamaica and this is a good riff on that lovely beverage. A little caramelized with a clean wheat flavor. Minimal spice, nice acidic bite. Imminently drinkable and very nice. Tasty.

Pretty tasty looking deep red pour. Floral and fruity aroma. Leaves a sweet red fruit flavor that lasts for quite some time. Spicy up front and a slight caramel mid palate flavor. The finish is sweet and fruity.

Bottle. Rosey amber pour... not much head. Aroma is fruity and perfumey malt. Same fruit in the flavor, kinda odd tasting cause it tastes more like perfume than fruit. Sort of grainy dry, lightly tart finish. Odd beer.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a light pink with a thin, off white head. Tart aroma with heavy perfume notes. Flavor is interesting. Grassy notes blend with a bit of tartness. Some berry flavors near the finish. Decent amount of carbonation. Nice beer.

Very floral and perfume smelling as I pour this beer into my 25cl tulip glass. The beer forms a three-finger thick, pink/beige tinged, off-white colored head. The beer is a bright red color that shows a somewhat hazy, deeply red tinged, gold color when held up to the light. Aromas of wheat add a nice graininess and even a touch of tartness, there is also a light, tart, berry like note here as well as the floral / perfume aromatic notes.

The beer tastes tart from both the wheat and the hibiscus; it finishes with a touch more tartness that lingers a bit on the tongue. A persistent carbonation adds some zippy texture that, along with the fairly light body, make this quite a quaffable brew. The wheat contributes a grassy grain note as well as a whole-grain cracker flavor and dryness. A touch of berry flavors in the finish, a light herbal note, a touch of pot pourri, perhaps a hint of lavender and even a touch of honey (though this beer is pretty dry, so it is not sweetness that makes me think of this last note).

This is a nice refreshing beer, I definitely like the hibiscus addition as it meshes well with the base beer. I will admit that it is a bit hard to pull any particular Belgian yeast character out of this beer, so in that sense this might not be the most complex beer, but I still like it.

Sparse light pink head of very fine bubbles. Very floral and fruity aroma with some rose and sour cherry. Cloudy bright reddish orange. Lively in the mouth. Light malty flavor with some tart raspberry, flowers and a bit of tangerine. Light bodied and flavor. Quite good though. Finishes fruity and dry with a slight bitterness. An ok and strange brew.
