Commercial Description:
The Rosée d’Hibiscus is a soft spoken wheat beer. The rose colour comes from the hibiscus flowers added during the brewing process. The aromas and flavour of this tropical flower are very prominent in the beer, giving it a slight acidity and a very agreeable fragrance. It is the perfect thirst quencher on a hot summer day.

11.5oz bottle from Kingdom Liquors (Tampa, FL). Pours a hazy dark copper, reddish-pink with a thick and creamy white-pink two-finger head that settles slowly. Nice lacing on glass. Aroma is sweet, ripe fruit, bread, yeast, hints of a floral/plant aroma. Flavor is light and sour fruity with a slight tanginess on initial taste. Light-bodied with a slight sweet and sour finish. Some citrus and flower petal notes are present as well. Interesting but not one I will be trying again soon.

Bottle. Pours with a pinkish color that makes it look more like juice than beer, in particular since there is no head. Aromas are light, mainly some sweetness. Flavor is more of the same: very sweet with a light body, flowery. lacking is any yeastiness it probably gets overpowered by all the add ons. In this case simpler would have been better. The beer is not even refreshing on a hot day since it is too cloying.

12oz bottle. Very reddish-copper color with light carbonation. Fairly clear. A honey sweet/floral aroma with Coriander (?) perhaps. The flavor is lightly spicy and flower additions are believable. A touch acidic which gives it a citrus crispness that sits atop a touch of light Belgian musty yeast and candy. The mouth feel is carbonated and though it initially heads towards musty, it quickly does a 180 and heads towards crisp (almost refreshing). It’s certainly interesting but not an everyday brew.

Bottle: Poured very light brown/reddish color with a very fast dissipating head. Strong hits of bread and citrus scents. Taste is very disapointing alcohol (the low amount there) is over powering. Lacks definition. BOM 2

Bottle. Strongly wheaten nose has a hint of rye there, too, with lots of spice (coriander dominant). Orange peel, honey, touch of nutmeg. Lightly tart with lemon, peach, and a lovely floral character (hibiscus?). Pretty, dark ruby body with a dense, creamy pinkish head. Taste is yeasty, tart and spicy as above, though with the citrus coming alone to the fore. Dry wheat aftertaste. Lastingly crisp, oily medium body. A classy revelation on a balmy, relaxed day like today.

Pours a reddish amber color with a pink head. Aroma is of wheat, yeast, lemon, and some flowers. Flavor is interesting. Basically everything in the aroma comes out on the flavor. Not too bad.

Pours a nice cloudy pinkish color with a moderate head, some lacing. Aroma of wheat, yeast and some interesting tart floral fruity notes. Taste is complex, peach, yeast, wheat and some other floral notes that I can assume are hibiscus.

12 oz bottle - Slightly cloudy amber color with a pink tinge and thin quickly dissapearing pure white head. Aroma is vaguely tart, quality of iced tea, touch of lemon, wheat, light caramel, touch of artifical sweetner and rose petals. Flavor is slightly tart, continental malts, touch of caramel, with a mildly sweet finish. Overall a fairly odd brew - not unpleasant but not particularly good either.
