Commercial Description:
The Rosée d’Hibiscus is a soft spoken wheat beer. The rose colour comes from the hibiscus flowers added during the brewing process. The aromas and flavour of this tropical flower are very prominent in the beer, giving it a slight acidity and a very agreeable fragrance. It is the perfect thirst quencher on a hot summer day.

This spiced ale pours a slightly hazy rose red color from a 33cl bottle. Small to medium sized pinkish foamy head. The aroma is floral, fruity and sweet. A medium bodied spiced ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. A touch spicy and somewhat floral tasting, the hibiscus flowers add a very interesting acidity and spiciness to this beer. Very interesting beer. Light and refreshing, it would make a great summer session beer. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter and tart.

12oz bottle poured into a snifter. A lightly hazy red pour with a small head. Smells very floral and peppery. The taste was a bit of a letdown, it tasted like a standard hefeweizen with a bit of floral character and extra peppery notes. Good and an interesting experiment, but nothing I’ll need to have again.

2008-05-30. Copper body with pink hues depending on the light, small off white head. Flavour starts out on the sweet side, fruity and floral, light tart bitterness in the middle. Floral fruity aroma with very light perfume touches. Roses? Average palate is smooth. Pretty different, nice in its way. Draft, Dieu Du Ciel, Montreal

Lovely rose color. Nice aroma and it has a very subtle fruitiness. But it is too subtle for my preferences, and certainly needs a particular environment in which to enjoy it--easily overwhelmed by the food. (on tap at Dieu du Ciel, Montreal)

Thanks to rogueone for this! Red pour with a fizzy red head. Looks like a fruit soda. This beer just wasn’t for me... Fresh flower bouquet on the nose. Flower up front. Finish’s with a bloody mary or type flavor very interesting. marinara

On tap at Dieu Du Ciel, and Mondial. Glow Stick red/amber color with moderate head. Oddest color I ever seen for a beer. Notes of basil/tomato on top of a floral/fruit backbone. Acidic towards the end. Tough to get my head around.

From a 12-ounce bottle purchased at John’s Marketplace in Portland, OR--Poured a crystal ruby body (slightly burgundy in color) with a small wispy white head. Sour, flowery, piquant nose. Crisp, sweet, floral flavor. Well carbonated and finished nicely with a rosy follow through. Quite interesting!

Appearance: Pours a clear, amber body with a bubbly, diminishing, white head. Smell: An indistinct wheat malt note. Definitely flowery, lychee, roses, and and melted scented candles. Taste: Pale, wheat maltiness that’s somewhat sweet. A bit more pronounced fruit and floral character than the nose, even a bit tropical. Lychee, honeydew melon, and orange peel. Spoonful of a frozen Bahama Mama. Touch of acidity midway. Very light bitterness. Finishes sweet and floral. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: Not bad at all. Dare I say it was surprisingly pleasant.
