Commercial Description:
The Rosée d’Hibiscus is a soft spoken wheat beer. The rose colour comes from the hibiscus flowers added during the brewing process. The aromas and flavour of this tropical flower are very prominent in the beer, giving it a slight acidity and a very agreeable fragrance. It is the perfect thirst quencher on a hot summer day.

12 oz bottle. Pours very unique body - hazy reddish-pink with small white lacing. Aroma is fruit (strawberry) and wheat. Taste is pretty cool - some tart in the finish.

An aroma of dried cranberries. Pink with a hint of red with pink lace and head. A very odd beer in that the flavor is a flat pepperish kick. Thin and watery but carbonation is good. A good beer but odd in a number of ways.

341ml brown bottle, from Goldorak! Poured a surprise pink/orange coloured with a fast fading white head. Hazy. No signs of lace in the glass. Aroma is floral, trace of spice, lemon and grass - a mix of fruity and sour. Flavour is of dryish wheat malt, lemon accents, a touch acidic, yet it has breif visits of tropical fruit (and/or fruit punch). Dry finish, tight active carbonation. Interesting brew, a bit wit-like, a bit fruity, a bit funky.

(CANADA) Courtesy of AFI96, Pours a dark pink grapefruit color with dissipating white head. The hibiscus aroma is very strong with fruity notes !!! The taste is sweet with some spicy flavor. This brew is interesting but a bit much for me.

This spiced ale pours a slightly hazy rose red color from a 33cl bottle. Small to medium sized pinkish foamy head. The aroma is floral, fruity and sweet. A medium bodied spiced ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. A touch spicy and somewhat floral tasting, the hibiscus flowers add a very interesting acidity and spiciness to this beer. Very interesting beer. Light and refreshing, it would make a great summer session beer. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter and tart.

12oz bottle poured into a snifter. A lightly hazy red pour with a small head. Smells very floral and peppery. The taste was a bit of a letdown, it tasted like a standard hefeweizen with a bit of floral character and extra peppery notes. Good and an interesting experiment, but nothing I’ll need to have again.

2008-05-30. Copper body with pink hues depending on the light, small off white head. Flavour starts out on the sweet side, fruity and floral, light tart bitterness in the middle. Floral fruity aroma with very light perfume touches. Roses? Average palate is smooth. Pretty different, nice in its way. Draft, Dieu Du Ciel, Montreal

Lovely rose color. Nice aroma and it has a very subtle fruitiness. But it is too subtle for my preferences, and certainly needs a particular environment in which to enjoy it--easily overwhelmed by the food. (on tap at Dieu du Ciel, Montreal)
