Commercial Description:
The Rosée d’Hibiscus is a soft spoken wheat beer. The rose colour comes from the hibiscus flowers added during the brewing process. The aromas and flavour of this tropical flower are very prominent in the beer, giving it a slight acidity and a very agreeable fragrance. It is the perfect thirst quencher on a hot summer day.

Pours the color of a blood orange with a nice murky haze and a one finger frothy white head. Nose is very interesting, discernible pink grapefruit, fruity, some spice, some phenol. Flavor is similar, pink grapefruit rind, spicy, some strange stuff going on. Palate is crisp with a certain sharpness. Very interesting I’ll say.

Bottle. Pours a beautiful pink-orange with a small pink-tinted chapeau. aroma is of perfumey hibiscus with sweet wheaty undertones. I’m familiar with hibiscus from when we lived in Australia, where we were given small hibiscus blossoms in light syrup to put in our glasses of bubbly (usually prosecco) at a party. Very cool idea, and the aroma and flavour is perfectly reflected in this beer. Flavours are perfumey hibiscus with a suggestion of strawberries. The palate is light, and the finish is dry. An interesting idea, and really a very nice beer. I wonder where they get their hibiscus from...

Very drinkable beer, light amber in color with a slight rose tint, nose of hibiscus, flavor is predominantly hibiscus with a sweet malt backbone, light body and carbonation, the slight acidity in this beer balances nicely the sweetness, I’m sure there are no hops needed in this beer.

Bottled. Poured clear pinkish-orange with a short-lived off-white head. The aroma picked up sour floral and orange zest over honeysuckle and light caramel. The flavor was similar to the nose with tangy citrus and floral leading.. slick honey and pale malts at the core.. a bouquet of light fruit, berries, and more floral on the back..tacky, sharp-ish finish of raspberries and flowers. Lighter-bodied with low carbonation on the palate.. didn’t flow well enough to really be enjoyable.

Pours a crazy bright pink with a small white head. The nose has well, hibiscus. It’s sweet and tart. Hibiscus, lemon, rhubarb, apples, raspberries, and a musty finish. Very refreshing for a hot day. Unusual, but good.

Cloudy red orange with a small white head. Aroma of plums and raspberries with a herbal touch. Sweet and fruity flavour, with a tea-like note. Unusual flavour, but not really all that exciting
