COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Rosée d’Hibiscus is a soft spoken wheat beer. The rose colour comes from the hibiscus flowers added during the brewing process. The aromas and flavour of this tropical flower are very prominent in the beer, giving it a slight acidity and a very agreeable fragrance. It is the perfect thirst quencher on a hot summer day.

Tap Mondial. Sweet, fruity almost tomatoes aroma, hazy rose, small pink head. Light flavour of pitfruit, cherries perhaps. Light bodied, pleasantly sweet. Refreshing.

Draught. Murky, pinkish-red body with a smallish white head. Flowery aroma with some fruitiness but not a whole lot of depth. Generic fruity character, rather sweet, with lively carbonation.
Sampled at Mondial on June 1, 2007.

On tap at Mondial 2007.
Rose hue, cloudy ale with accents. Ruby, pinkish white top. Quiet unusual yet presentable appearance.
Red rose, hibiscus, flowery character, grainy and soft fruity hints.
Strong fruity character, medium light bodied ale. Soft palate, flower fruity like. Gently placed till finish. I think that this ale meant to be different and it worked well. DDC good work.

On Tap at Dieu Du Ciel! Looks great! a nice rosé color, with loads of carbonation, and a very nice offwhite/beige/pink head. Aroma is a funky wheat with a really nice floralness to it, i’m assuming it’s hibiscus. Flavour is a great balance between sweet, and sour. Quite mellow, and very refreshing. A very nice brew.

Musty wheat sourness up front in the nose, with a late, though pleasant fruitiness: peach and apricot and hibiscous (I assume). Hazy orange red with patchy white fuzz. Nice witbier-like softness with an excellent balance of sweet, fruity hibiscous (I assume) with dryness. Just a touch of bitterness and some sour wheat flavour. Medium carbonation with a light to medium body and a clean finish. The epitome of balance in a beer.

Spicy and fruity floral aroma with wheat, melons and pine notable. Almost opaque reddish borwn coloured body is topped by a low but lasting, fine bubbled, white head that leaves some very nice lacing. Floral character is apparent in the flavour also along with spicy pine, honey, grass and very strong wheat flavours. Tartness appears at the end and balances nicely against the enduring sweetness. Very dry with strong, lively effervescence that awakens the tastebuds. Sampled at Mondial 2006.

Pours a hazy pinkish color with a thin white head. Good aroma and flavor of flowers, citrus and wheat. It is smooth and subtle.

Rosé to orange coloured, completely opaque and magnificiently covered by an eternal 1-inch white foam. Beautiful pour. Surprisingly dry aroma with boastful fruitiness reminiscent of blood orange, cracker-like fresh wheat, slight manure and just an overall balanced fruitiness. Becomes more floral in mouth where the hugely refreshing, tart and juicy (cactus juice?, coconut?) flavours are met by a slender bitterness aromatised with leafy undertones. Lasting fruity aftertaste. Tight, foamy palate with expressive carbonation and a supporting maltiness like anything by DDC. Remarkable offering.

A rosey hazy beer with a thick rosey white head. Aroma of hibiscus, fragrant, and complex, watermelon notes. In mouth, flowery malt with light lactic notes. Interesting and refreshman. Mondial 2006.

Sampled draught (three times) at the Monidal de la Biere in Montreal, 2006. Dense opaque rosé color with a big ridiculously lasting pink head and a subtle streak of lacing....aroma is flowery and somewhat acrid, unripe melons appear amidst the pungent weeds and hints of berries in flower.....clean, sour/tart character on the tongue, fruity and mineralic with a nice sour wheaty undertone, though there is little in the way of breadiness in the light pale malt body....wonderfully drinkable though it didn’t all hang together as well for me as I kept wanting it to; still, another winner from JF and company.
