Commercial Description:
The Rosée d’Hibiscus is a soft spoken wheat beer. The rose colour comes from the hibiscus flowers added during the brewing process. The aromas and flavour of this tropical flower are very prominent in the beer, giving it a slight acidity and a very agreeable fragrance. It is the perfect thirst quencher on a hot summer day.

Hazy amber with a ruby glow, modest white head with a tinge of pink. Aroma is very faint, tinges of pear and champagne. Flavor is a peardrop witbier with generous additions of spices, cinnamon and nutmeg warmth. All this against a musty background. Very delicate flavors overall. Medium bodied, soft but not really sparkly on the carbonation.

Pours a hazy, rosy amber with a little bit of white head. Aroma is of wheat and what must be hibiscus, very nice. Interesting flavor - again, wheat comes through with ... hibiscus. It’s slightly sweet and very nice, especially as this is a flavor I’d not experienced until now. It’s got a soft smooth lightly acidic mouthfeel, very refreshing. Overall, this is an overpriced but very nice beer.

Bottle from Dépanneur Peluso. One of the guys working there recommended this, and a cider to mix it with, so I picked up two bottles of this… one to try solo, and one to mix with the cider. I’ll try that at some other point. Pours a very hazy pink to crimson hued light amber, with a medium white head that fades fast. Lovely floral aromas, light wheat fruit. Gorgeous and delightfully unexpected. Lightly sweet with a great floral flavor and some berries. Finishes lightly with a touch of acidity. I was quite impressed by this, but then again, it’s DdC, so I shouldn’t have doubted. Wish I bought more than 2 bottles of this.

Bottle. Pours a opaque pinkish orange with little head and aromas that are sweet, fruity and flowery. Flavor is fairly similar, but has a tart little finish to it that keeps this one in the fairway... It’s interesting... and overpriced.

Tasted at the San Diego International Beer Festival. Pink with a white fizzy head. Sweet floral honey and hibiscus aroma and taste. Pretty good.

Bottle. Hazy blushing amber. Nose is tart and tangy with berry, flowers, spices and herbs. Taste is slightly tart fruit, flowers, soft spice notes, light herbs, grains, and light yeast notes. Body is soft, light and bubbly. Slightly acidic. Very refreshing summer beer. Ends with more grains, tart fruit, flowers, herbs and spices and fading sweetness. Nice!

Pours murky pinkish-orange (ruby red grapefruit juice) and a pinkish white head. Grapefruit and floral aroma. Flavor is tart, floral, hoppy, and thick. Different from anything I have tried. Refreshing.

Really pretty pour, a dark pink with orange as well, and a light head. Aroma definitely holds floral notes, as one would expect from the hibiscus, and lots of citrus. Flavor is nice- more floral comes through, with an acidic undertone to the hop presence. There is also a tasty concept of tropical fruit that comes and goes fleetingly in the flavor. Surprisingly full mouthfeel, really a good brew.
