Commercial Description:
The Rosée d’Hibiscus is a soft spoken wheat beer. The rose colour comes from the hibiscus flowers added during the brewing process. The aromas and flavour of this tropical flower are very prominent in the beer, giving it a slight acidity and a very agreeable fragrance. It is the perfect thirst quencher on a hot summer day.

Minerally hibiscus nose. Cloudy pink to amber, low head. Berrylike and perfumed rose hip tea flavors, the hibiscus is showing. Delicate and nicely balaned. Sparkly medium body. Pleasant.

Lovely rose color. Nice aroma and it has a very subtle fruitiness. But it is too subtle for my preferences, and certainly needs a particular environment in which to enjoy it--easily overwhelmed by the food. (on tap at Dieu du Ciel, Montreal)

A reddish pink color with a pinkish white head. The aroma is some citrus, raspberries, and wheats. The flavor is herbal and somewhat sour. A doughy presence to this one. Overall this was an ok beer.

Pour is lightly hazed reddish with a thin off white head...smell is sweet and lightly floral at first with then a nice spicy herbal note...taste is sweet with fruity (pear) type thing...a nice sweetness in the finish...interesting for sure...

Reddish-orange in color with a pink, yes pink, head. Aromas are a little rosy, a little yeasty. Grapefruit flavor dominates, with a souring finish. A little like a sauvignon blanc, with ripe citrus and crisp acidity. Definitely a unique beer -- I’m glad these ingredients are held against a wheat background, not a barley or other malt. The softness of the wheat benefits the delicate flavors.

It pours light, slightly hazed body with a pale red tint and a short, pale pink head. The aroma is floral (hibiscus, I presume) with underlying buttery malt and a light wheaty tartness. It tastes perfumey, but not in a bad way, with dry spices and a citric fruitiness and tartness. More interesting than enjoyable.

Big thanks to josarah for this beer. Pours a light red with small pink head. Aroams of citrus, flowers, wheat and citrus. Flavor is slightly sweet flowers with spices and a touch of sourness to it. Dry finish. Thanks!

12oz bottle. Very reddish-copper color with light carbonation. Fairly clear. A honey sweet/floral aroma with Coriander (?) perhaps. The flavor is lightly spicy and flower additions are believable. A touch acidic which gives it a citrus crispness that sits atop a touch of light Belgian musty yeast and candy. The mouth feel is carbonated and though it initially heads towards musty, it quickly does a 180 and heads towards crisp (almost refreshing). It’s certainly interesting but not an everyday brew.
