The Rosée d’Hibiscus is a soft spoken wheat beer. The rose colour comes from the hibiscus flowers added during the brewing process. The aromas and flavour of this tropical flower are very prominent in the beer, giving it a slight acidity and a very agreeable fragrance. It is the perfect thirst quencher on a hot summer day.

Interesting flower beer. Thank you Mr. Jim Daley for taking me on this incredible journey. Red, light bodied, wheat aromas, mixed with fleeting aroma and flavor of habiscus. More of a novelty than anything else but enjoyable none the less as all beers from Dieu du Ciel are.

Aroma - Belgian yeast, some herbs, a little acid, and wheat. Appearance - the body is a clean amber, with good nucleation. White head about 1/3" and settles quickly. Taste - has a floral and spice nature. Dry sort of fruit and wheat, slightly acidic. Palate - body is medium, texture somewhat vinous, flat carbonation, dry finish.

Pours a pinkish beer with a small white head. Smells sweet, candy like. Tastes sweet. Feels like drinking a wheat beer with syrup added to it. Not my cup of tea.

12oz bottle from BrewDog Doghouse. Pinkish brown, reasonable head. Flowery grain wheat aroma. Sharp flowery wheat flavour. Very sharp sour aftertaste. I don’t like this beer very much.

Bottle, Brewdog Leicester. Red, pink with an off white head. Floral and leafy with mellow pink grapefruit. Strawberries and cream with vegetable bitterness. Slightly woody with mandarin. Thick oily palate. I’m probably describing hibiscus if I knew what it was like. Good stuff.

Bottle from BrewDog, Liverpool. Hazy rose colour with almost no head. But drinking on a train so it hasn’t fully settled. Aroma has red grape and floral aroma. Taste laid fruity sweet to a light bitter finish.

BBD 01/16. Pours a slightly hazy amber with a ruby tint. Normal head volume, below normal lacing and retention. World class nose of hibiscus over wheat and biscuit with powerful notes of sweet fruit and light spice. Light medium body with a texture that is smooth with creamy aspects. World class carbonation with a nice effervescent middle and a finely bubbled prickly finish. The flavor profile is quite outstanding. Intensity and balance deliver with complexity being the star of the show. It begins slightly sweet then the hibiscus flavor arrives. The middle remains slightly sweet coupled with a slight sour tartness that causes an almost imperceptible pucker. Tart apples and cherry come to mind. The finish brings grainy wheat and a soft spice over a lingering tartness and fading honey like sweetness.

Red pour from bottle at home. White head. Literally tastes like a rosee wine. Fruity and a little tart. Not too bad.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours reddish with a pinkish head. Taste lightly fruity, flower all, grassy. I thought this was ok. I wouldn't drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
