On tap at Dieu du Ciel.The color is a hazy honey with an off white head and nice lace. The aroma is of mangos plus malt and cereals.The taste also of fruits like mangos and bananas,wheat some hops and of course malt.The aftertaste is pleasing and bitter,very good.

On tap at the Blind Tiger for their Dieu du Ciel event. Pours a hazy gold with no head to speak of. Soft wheat and a touch of acid on the nose, hints of ginger and spice, and soft fruit. Light acidity and a bit of fruit. Soft and supple, beautiful acidity. Lingering bits of funk on the finish, and a bit of soft mango flesh. Wonderful stuff.

UPDATED: DEC 1, 2011 Draft at Blind Tiger with Andrew, Streets, Mark, Ben and Kyle. Pours a hazy, hazy yellow golden orange body with thin creamy, carbonated lacing. Aroma is funky lemon and other citrus fruits. Mouthfeel is tart, slightly puckering, mouth-watering sour fruits, peach, mango, lemon peels, funky brett, earthiness, wheat, and lemony yeast. This has to be the best Berliner Weisse I’ve sampled to date.

On tap at blind tiger. Sweet and sour brew... True to the Berliner style but adds a unique twist. Mangos cut the tartness for a more balances weisse. Pour is foggy yellow. Mango middle, lemon finish... Delicious. Stronger than most bw too

Hazy orange-blonde hue, with an off-white head, light acidic, tropical fuity, mango, tart, sourness nose with a mild lactose yogurt, lactobacillus wild yeast accent, within a milkyish aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a nice tart, acidic, funky, faint mango fruitiness, wheaten character with a lactic sourness, juicy lemony backbone, with a yeasty dough, lactobacillus yogurtish, milky undertone, leading towards a wheaty malt, acidic, tart, subtle mango fuitiness, lactic sourness finish.

A hazed blonde ale with a thin white head. In aroma, a smooth fruity with light wheaty notes. In mouth, a nice refreshing ale with smooth fruit acidity, mineral-epsom notes, light and refreshing. On tap at brewpub, Oct. 14 2011.

on tap at the brewpub during la mondiale. pours yellow with a small white head. aroma is all wheat and fruits. moango, apricot, peaches, tangerine. taste is sweet with a slight acidic touch to it. very refreshing.

In short: A very fruity (mangos and more) berliner weisse with a smooth acidity and tartness. Nice summer beer.

The look: Cloudy banana yellow body topped by a small white herad
In long: Nose is bright with plenty of fresh mangos, some bananas and some lemon notes. Taste is again very fruity with in this order: mangos, pears, bananas, peaches, lemon. Acidity level is mild-medium and the tart and sour finish is softened by all the fruits. Quite a big full body for a Berliner Weisse yet the beer remains very refreshing and highly drinkable. This is much better than last year’s Solstice d’Été aux Mûres but it doesn’t quite match their regular annual Cherry and Raspberry berliner weisse. I enjoyed that beer at the Mondial beer fest a mere 2 days after coming back from a week-end of excessive at the Ratebeer Summer Gathering in Philladelphia. I’m starting to think that maybe the people at my AA meeting were right when they said “get out of here you drunk asshole, this is a children birthday party”.

On tap at the ddc booth at le mondiale. Aroma of malted wheat, and touches of sweet fruit, mango i guess....pretty broad aroma. Very light funk, touches of sourness with more fruitiness. I guess there is some mango in here, but its pretty non descript. A decent beer, but honestly i was a tad dissapointed.

Verre de dégustation, provenant d’un fût, au Mondial de la Bière 2011 (Montréal, QC). Arôme: Odeur de blé avec une pointe de mangue. Apparence: La couleur est blonde opaque. Présence d’un mince col mousseux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goût de mangues et de céréales. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture légèrement onctueuse. Moyenne effervescence en bouche. Légère présence de mangue en arrière goût. (Rating #3716)
