COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Abv varies from 5% to 6.5%.

German inspired sour wheat beer (based on our Été Indien). The obvious and domineering acidity of this beer is obtained by letting the unboiled wort go sour for several days. The Solstice d’Été is made complete by the addition, during the fermentation process, of a phenomenal quantity of whole fruit (raspberries or cherries) which compensate for the sourness of the beer. The result is a very refreshing beer where both acidity and fruity flavours dominate wholeheartedly.

Red body, pink head, cherry, wheat and lemon aroma. Nice tartness, lemon notes, cherry pits. The fruit isn't as present as in the rasberry one. Some yeasty hints in the finish. A very good beer.

[3993-20110924] Tap. Strong fresh cherry pie filling. Hazy, pink orange body with a quick foamy light pink head. Cherry paste flavour is tart and thick and cloying. Medium-full body. Very cherry, very very cherry. (8+/3/6/3/14) 3.4

On tap at Bar Volo DDC tap takeover, this is the cherry version. The cherry comes through like cherry kriek. Its acidic, it gives off a big cherry (natural and artificial) aroma.Whatever wheat is in the secondary. A little lemon tartness as well. Very good and unique, but only drinkable in modest amounts at a time.

On tap at the Blind Tiger. Pours a beautiful ruby grapefruit juice color with a big soft pink head. Faint sour cherries and wheat on the nose. Cherry, a bit tart but not super acidic. Lovely, very different from most sours, gentle and subtle, very delicate. Tangy cherry on the finish, light tart wheat and a lingering tang.
