Sep 26, 2007 Draft at Stockholm Beer Festival 2007. An amber beer with a thick tan head. The aroma has notes of spices, caramel, and malt. The flavor is sweet malty iwth strong notes of caramel as well as notes of alcohol and fruit. The body is thick.

Sep 28, 2007 Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival. Clear deep ruby, creamy head. Caramelly nose with some dried fruits. Full bodied. Balanced between grassy hops, caramelly malt and arousing alcohol. Soft and completely without edges. A great winter warmer.

Sep 30, 2003 (bottle dated 7/00) Hazy red with beige head (plenty of head despite age). Aroma is sweet, caramel, rich and sticky, vanilla, raisin, light chocolate. Taste is rich, malty, moderately sweet, caramel, raisin, some chocolate, light roasty. Full bodied. Fantastic beer, definitely more along the lines on an English-style barleywine.

Very dark color, with bright amber shades; thin head, creamy. Alcoholic aroma, light red berries. Round mouthfeel, very warming, some malt and caramel flavor, sweet; quite high bitterness. Well brewed, but without emotions.
