3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, bought at Systembolaget, Malmö. Thanks myrup. Pours deep mahogany with ruby-red edges. A big, creamy, off-white head with bigger bubbles nearer the liquid. Sweet malty aroma, lightly roasted, some plums, a little spiciness and red apples. Some vinious character as well. Lowish carbonation, just small bubbles dancing on my tongue. Quite oily as well. Flavour begins sweet, some distinct toffee. It is quite roasted after that with a little coffee and hazel nuts. Very vinious, which is probably just a tad too much. Great, lingering aftertaste with roasted malts and it ends quite dry. There is some spices and fruitiness lingering as well.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle 341ml, a dark brown beer with medium off white creamy head. Nose is very massive on grain and caramel. Aroma is on creamy caramel, sweet with fig and prune touch, nice body, vanilla notes, complex, very malty, malty side reminds me German dunkel bock with additional over ripped fig and prune touch, bitter hops at the finish. Excellent beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
2011 bottle. Dark brown pour with medium head for style. Nose was a little musty with plenty of sweet malt. Taste was malty as well but lacked any real sweetness. Especially when compared to the Oak Aged version of this same beer. Nice thick mouthfeel. Really a different beer when barrel aged.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Light brown, slightly hazy, thin beige head, low carbonation. Aroma is faint and features toffee, light fruit. Flavor: toffee sweetness, raisins, a little toasty bread crust character, warming alcohol (but not hot), some spicy hop flavor/bitterness, a little leathery age on this year-old bottle.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A one year old bottle. A dark, slightly reddish beer with a weak, small bubbled and beige head. The nose is quite sweet, dark fruits and red berries, hint of syrup. Enjoyable, sweet berries are fine. Taste of malts, drying wood, some fruits, the end is quite dry and slightly herbal, no alcohol. Full bodied, low carbonation, smooth. The great aroma, but taste is not in the same level, anyway, tastefull beer.

Overall, some nice fruit notes and taste but definitely doesnt cut through the booziness of it...a good beer but wouldnt seek out again.
