On tap at the Dieu du Ciel 14th anniversary party, pours an opaque dark orange with a medium head. Aroma of spicy citrus fruits and lots of zest – the spicy citrus dominates. Flavour of intense citrus fruits (oranges, lemon; not really sure how to describe yuzu), wheat, slight spiciness, and some mild tartness. Quite complex and refreshing, with a unique flavour profile due to the yuzu. Very nice.

A lightly hazed golden ale with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, an interesting lactic and herbaceous malt with light funky notes. In mouth, a lightly sour weisse bier, fruity beer, nice and refreshing. On tap at Mondiale 2012, June 8 2012.

Draught at Mondial de la Bière 2012, June 8. Pours a hazy golden-peach with a small semi-lasting creamy off-white head. Aroma is fruity with a light funky sourness and some berries. Flavour’s more sour then expected based on the aroma, it’s also fruity and refreshing. Average bodied. Good stuff, a unique and enjoyable beer.

[4466-20120608] Tap. Honey lemon yeast aroma. Clear, orange body with a medium-lasting creamy white head. Lemon peel yeast and tangy sour honey notes in the flavour. Light-medium body. Weird funkiness, can’t decide if it’s a good weird or not. (5/3/5/3-/12) 2.8

2012-06-08. Lightly hazy yellow, small white head. 3+ Modest aroma is funky in a way that is different from what I am used to in a sour, interesting fruit character is vaguely grape like? 7+ Flavour is similar, refreshingly sour throughout, mild fruity character, sort of grape like as in the aroma. Pleasant modest sourness lingers in the finish and aftertaste. 7+ Smooth average palate is softly carbonated. 3+ I found the more subtle aspects struggled a bit to define themselves against the sourness, but I expect that might develop more in a larger sample. Mondial de la bière à Montréal 2012. Couleur jaune assez neutre, mousse blanche. Arôme de malt, levure et fraîcheur. Amère, un peu sûre. Bonne beer.

Honey gold color, with a white head, mild juicy lemony, zesty lime, yuzu peel, musty, acidic nose with a light wheaten malty sourness accent, with a starfruit sharpness, lactic tart, sweet note in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a nice mild lemon juice,acidic lime, yuzu rind, lactic sour yeastiness character with a wet wheat malt sourness, musty white grape backbone, leading towards a zesty yuzu rind, juicy lemon citrus acidic, sour,light sweet maltiness finish.
