The light amber colour of this beer conceals an important cargo of hops. It’s light effervescence allows for the discrete fruity taste of the malt and the pronounced bitterness to be better appreciated. The aromas of fruits and hops spread over the palate and cast a spell over all who dare to taste this beer.

Golden body and a clean white head. Seemed very light for an IPA. Lots of buttery diacetyl in the nose and flavor. Earthy, woodsy hop presence. Bitter finish. Too buttery. An English-style IPA, but regardless, I was unimpressed with this.

Cask conditioned. Cloudy copper color with a medium bubbly head. Amazing aromas of hops and caramel. Huge, incredible flavors of hops and caramel that float on a nice cloud of happiness. Very good and enjoyable.

Orange amber, small head. Light hoppy aroma, slight sweetness .Strong bitterness welcomes you at first sip, the more direct bitterness in the middle. Goes straight to kill your palate. Rough peppery diamond . Needs more polish.

UPDATED: DEC 25, 2005 slightly hoppy aroma and pale gold in colour. Malty bsicuity taste with mild floral hops, alsmost with fruity qualities, vanilla like and herbaceous. 6-3-6-3-12

Cask version: Golden orange ale with a big bubbled white head. Light floral hops in aroma, restrained. In mouth, llight malt and floral hops, and caramel, more British in style. A bit light to my taste. Night of the YeHaa 2005. 7-4-7-3-13

Pale gold colour, with a good sized head. Nice hoopy aroma, very nicely bitter, well balanced with a backbone of malt.

Surprisingly hop aroma is a bit mild on this one. Fine head a finger wide. Cloudy (?) light copper colour. Some lacing. Excellent bitterness. Medium strong body. Sharp and crisp. Enjoyable - but I'm sure I have tasted a better batch of this at DdC... On tap.

UPDATED: AUG 27, 2008 Cask: Pale yellow with orange tones, clear, more carbonated than average. Floral hops nose, somewhat caramelic. Big grapefruit taste after the Aphrodisiaque (stout), moderate tartness and sweetness. Moderatly bitter end with a very present but not overwhelming hoppy finish.

On cask in August 2008, this was very fresh indeed, strongly floral with tropical fruits complexity and a firm bitterness. highly pleasant and refreshing. Lifting up from 3.3 to 3.8.

UPDATED: JUN 7, 2004 9/18/03Maybe there was a mistake by the bartender in mislabeling this beer or the brewer might have forgotten to ad hops...the second most dispointing Canadian IPA since Alexander Keith's.More of a sub par pale ale than a IPA.3/4/5/3/12 Re-rated 6/4/04 Mondial Cask: Deep golden in color with a small white lacing around the rim. Perfumy floral aroma. Grassy hop flavor with a slight acidity.
