The light amber colour of this beer conceals an important cargo of hops. It’s light effervescence allows for the discrete fruity taste of the malt and the pronounced bitterness to be better appreciated. The aromas of fruits and hops spread over the palate and cast a spell over all who dare to taste this beer.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy orange with a small off-white and lacing head. Aroma is mild hops fruity. Light malty, solid bitter and mild hops fruity. Dry, herbal and almost spiced hoppy. Slowly increasing bitterness leading to a solid dry finish.

A hazy orange beer with a small beige head. The aroma is sweet and slightly hoppy, while the hops have a lot stronger presence in the flavor, which besides being sweet, also have notes of caramel.

Draught at Steel Toad, Vancouver; 500ml
Cloudy amber color, a bit dull, with small head. Good body structure, more than the abv lets expect, decent malts, strong hopping, with a fundamental earthy character.
English IPA? A bit yeasty. Not exciting.

On tap at Dieu Du Ciel - 03/03/12. Hazy amber with a small white head. Malty, bready taste with a small amount of citrus. Medium bodied with light carbonation. Drinkable but didn’t do a lot for me!

On tap @ Dieu du Ciel. Amber colored pour with a khaki head. Pretty sweet and malty. Hella sugary. A little bit of cheese on the back end, but good floral and citrus hops. Lots of lemon in particular. Flavor is kind of bitter and citrusy. Woody and floral hops. A little bit of lemon, some orange, and caramel malts. Tangy finish on this bad boy. Weird.

Rating #2800. On tap at Dieu du Ciel, pours a cloudy orangey red with a small off-white head. Aroma is very fruity, full of oranges and tropical fruits, with loads of citrusy hops. Flavour is quite bitter, with tropical fruits (mangos, pineapple), bitter grapefruit peel and just enough dry caramel malt. Very pungent and flavourful, especially given the 5% ABV. Excellent stuff!

UPDATED: DEC 25, 2005 slightly hoppy aroma and pale gold in colour. Malty bsicuity taste with mild floral hops, alsmost with fruity qualities, vanilla like and herbaceous. 6-3-6-3-12

Cask version: Golden orange ale with a big bubbled white head. Light floral hops in aroma, restrained. In mouth, llight malt and floral hops, and caramel, more British in style. A bit light to my taste. Night of the YeHaa 2005. 7-4-7-3-13
