COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dievels’ Nat Traditional Dutch Ale "The moment a devilish and scorching heat came over this world there was a yearning desire to cool off and lesson one’s thirst. Dievels’ Nat, authentic and fitting, became the indisputable thirst quencher. Brewed from barley malts and a delicious zesty hop, Dievels’ Nat is consumed calmly and patiently." Dievels’ Nat is a top-fermenting, natural ale brewed with old-world craftsmanship from natural ingredients only. After prolonged ageing this ale develops a captivating flavor with an aromatic after taste. A third fermentation in the bottle ages this beer further. Dievels’ Nat should be poured carefully in the glass to allow its yeasty sediment to remain behind. Dievels’ Nat is best served at a temperature of 58° F. Size: 25.4 fl. oz. / Bottle Conditioned

(750ml bottle) Pours a murky golden body with a small white head. Aroma of ginger, coriander, and light orange peel. Flavor of ginger, light citrus, yeast, and chardonnay grapes with a dry, somewhat chalky finish.

Bottle. Virtually no head. Body is murky medium amber, bottle conditioned. Aroma is lightly malty (cookie, toasted grain), lightly yeasty (mold, barnyard, earth), with notes of cork, apple, cotton. Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation. Certainly hard to judge; it’s definitely old and musty. Reminds me of Vapeur’s beers.

Beer is medium orange-brown with a small, frothy, off-white, quickly and totally diminishing head.
The aroma is yeasty with heavy notes of wet basement; Moderate minty oxidation. Equally repellent and compelling.
The flavor is lightly sweet with a longish, trace bittersweet finish.
The body is light, the texture is watery and the carbonation is soft.
Neat to have, even if it’s not in stellar shape.

This tasted like a can of of old nectarine juice that had been sitting on the shelf of some old country store in the middle of nowhere for a long time. We can all be better off that this is retired and unlike Roger Clemons, hopefully it will stay that way as this was fucking horrible.

05.04.05 750ml bottle thanks to Matta. Not sure of the brew/bottle date, and I could only make out a 9 out of the numbers on the cork, maybe 1999? Cork took some work to remove, hardly any pfft or pop. Golden-orange, hazy, zero head. Aroma is sherry, dust, leather, brown apple, cobweb, something else herbal and woody that I just can’t figure, and bandaids? Flavor is a mess, age has been harsh to this brew. Dry, dry, dry, with musty sherry, cork, wood, and alcohol. Very thin, totally flat. Finishes bitter and tart. Not undrinkable, but not much left o make this beer worth drinking. Too bad, I bet it was pretty good. Thanks, Matt, it was worth a try!

was surprised to come across this and another 750ml from the same brewer. After fighting with the cork for 5 minutes...with a wrench, i soon found out why. Flat. Flat like most of Florida flat. So I’ll go into this rating with the *potential* of what it probably should have been..for I could only stomach so much. Orange in colour, the aroma was a basket of citrus and malt. Taste also carried a bit of citrus, but mostly it was a fruitish/alchohol flavour. Some earth tones were preseant though not defined. Had also a pepperish mint-clove spice to it which was nice. I’d probably love this had it not been flat. There are a few more bottles I’ve found around town, but do I want to risk another $7.99. Only time shall tell.

This bottled brew corked and caged poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized mostly diminishing white colored bubbles that left behind an unnoted lacing. The body contained average carbonation, was transparent and orange in color. Its aroma contained notes of mild orange and malt. Its mouth feel is initially tingly with a very tingly palate. Its flavor contained mild fruity wheat orange vinuous grassy sweet notes and was very tasty. An excellent beer that I would buy again.

750ml. bottle. Small fizzy white head, sparse lacing, fast rising carbonation, semi-transparent, and a pale yellow hue. Aroma was malty, sweet, fruity, spicy and some clove. Sweet, malty, spicy and a good flavor. Tingly mouthfeel. Medium bodied Belgian. IMO worth a try if you enjoy Belgian style brews.

Very dark brown color, medium head. Intense malt flavor, slight sugar-candy sweetness. Slightly spicy hops, but malts predominate. Mouthfeel is very full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is malty with a linger sweet spice
