Cask at Merton Summer Beer Festival 07-07-07. This beer poured a cloudy brown with white foamy head. This beer despite it’s hazy appearance (it just wouldn’t totally settle unfortunately) tasted great having some impressive chewy toffee characteristics and yet also having a nice fruity bite as well.

Cask conditioned handpump Coach & Horses Wellingborough A hazy mahogany coloured beer with a whitish head and lacing. The aroma is hard to find but there is some bread and fruit. The taste has malt and a bit of charcoal. Some late fruity bitterness also.

Cask, Leicester Fest 08. Amber with a thin off-white head. Aromas are toffee and weetabix malts with some chocolate. Citrus bitterness, too. Flavours are sweet weetabix malts with hints of chocolate. Peppery hops with grapefruit bitterness on the finish.

Cask conditioned at Merton Beer Festival ’07. Clouded brown with no head. This was the only beer at the Festival not to truly settle out, no mean feat at a summer festival. Dark and malty with a fruity nose and body, lost some of it because some kids roped me in to playing Football, but had enough to rate.
