Light yellow and clear. Light nose, flavor and body are really a big surprise... flavor is grainy and coarse but hardly notcable... sweet light malts. Fizzy, tasteless, odorless, I guess.

Draught at brewpub. Pours sparkling light yellow with a spare, frothy white head, mostly lasting with fair lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (grain, hay, straw), light hops (grass), average yeast (dough) with notes of dust. Light bodied, creamy texture, soft carbonation and a chalky finish. Average duration, moderate sweetness, light acidity and bitterness. One of the better pale lagers I have had.

On tap @ Dillon Dam poured a clear pale yellow with a lasting white head. Aromas of light bread and a faint hint of citrus. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of bread, light straw and a faint hint of spice with a smooth dry finish.
1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 Ernest (5185) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - OCT 17, 2002
UPDATED: JAN 21, 2006 Draught. Body is hazy light yellow. Aroma is trace malt (grain), trace hops (flowers), with light notes of honey and DMS. Flavor is lightly sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is trace sweetness, lightly to moderately bitter, husky, unclean. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Even harder to drink than the pilsner.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Braudog (4607) - Hampton, Virginia, USA - MAY 7, 2004
Extremely clear yellow with a thin head. Surprisingly good malt character for a "light", but it fits the category. Sweet and light in body, but good.

Tap at brewery. Very light pale yellow appearance with almost no head. Not much in the aroma except a weak pale malty smell. Sweet pale malty flavor that’s a little grainy. Very light body.

Pour on tap is clear yellow with white head, aroma is slight pils malt, some hints of biscuit, touch of earth notes. Taste is a mix of very slight hay, biscuit and earth, finishing fairly clean but without much taste. Whenever I see light, or especially when spelled "lyte" i cringe...

Looks and tastes like a macro, and I guess certainly appeals to that crowd. Strong aroma of DMS, light and watery with no body or texture.

Tasted 9/30 Dillon Dam Brewery, GABF weekend. Golden hue. Mild hop nose with a hint of grapefruit. Musty and watery. Well, I would think that this is a perfect example of this style, but I just don’t know. Not at all impressed with this brewery.
