3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 bleeng (1372) - Houston nowhere near Beersel, Texas, USA - AUG 27, 2009
12 oz bottle purchased from the brewery. No freshness or ABV markings. Bronze/light gold color-very little head. Nose is honey, metallic, hay. Taste is light grass, a bit alcoholic (!), malt flavors are subdued and very little hop aroma. Nice body for a lager and easily quaffed. Well done-wish I had a few more of these.

Tasting at CBF. Clear golden, medium white head. Aroma of light malts and lighter floral hops. Flavor is smooth and easy, very drinkable but still has pretty good flavor. A fairly hoppy lager with a satisfying bitter finish.

tap. copper pour rising bubbles, nice white tiny bubble head. aroma grassy, earthy as in many of their beers, burnt malt characteristics. nice crabonation, earthy hiops, sweet caramel malts, mild sourness, med/full body for a lager.

Bottle. Friend brought this back from their trip to Colorado. Of the 3 dam beers they brought back, this was the worst. Poured a golden color with a smaller white head that went rather quick. Aroma was sweet malts, corn and metallic flavors. Very thin and watery body. Not a whole lot to this one. Some caramel flavor in the finish.

Tap at the brewery. Pour is amber with a fluffy white head and good lacing. Smell is nice spice, banana, bread, caramel, earth, and light hops. Taste is bread, malt, light caramel, a hint of banana, and spice. Mouthfeel is somewhat watery with medium carbonation. Very smooth and highly drinkable. Another pleasant surprise from Dillon.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 luckygirl (1223) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JAN 12, 2006
Had this at the brewery. Beer poured a clear, light-amber color with a small, fizzy, off-white, mostly diminishing head that left behind nice lacing. The aroma was fair: lightly malty with notes of roasted grain and caramel, lightly hoppy with a note of pine and lighty dressed up with miscellaneous notes of vanilla and honey. The flavor was lightly sweet with a trace of bitterness that had an average-length, lightly bitter finish. The body was light-to-medium, the texture was watery and the carbonation was fizzy. There was also a trace of alcohol at the end. Not a very engaging brew.

Rating from 3/06. On tap @ DD. Amber color. Caramel, toffee aroma. Taste is caramelly, mild earthy hops, hops mostly for bittering. Not too bad for what it is, a light amber lager.

12 oz Bottle via Arctic Liquors Beer of The Month Club. Pours a semi clear amber with a small white head. Aroma is subtle-a bit of toasted grain, some vanilla, and lager yeast. While I am not a fan of the style, this is one of the best i have tasted. It starts with some vanilla, toffee, toasted grains and there is even some fruity esters underneath, some apricot and melon. Light/medium body. Low/moderate carbonation. Very tastey and refreshing. A high quality craft beer that i could easily drink several of.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Beaver (1057) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - AUG 30, 2005
12 oz bottle. Pours a clear orange-brown with a small fizzy head that quickly disappears.
The aroma is earthy malts and sweet caramel with a touch of spicy hops.
The flavor is rather bland. It has some sweet watery malts up front with a bit of a spicy lightly bitter finish. The flavors become more apparent as it warms. The mouthfeel is medium bodied but watery.
Overall, a nice, albeit run of the mill, beer.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Nikiel (790) - Portland, Oregon, USA - NOV 7, 2010
Bottle at ACBF. Pours a dark golden color. Pretty dark and malty for a lager, but not particularly flavorful.
