On tap at brewpub. Pour is clear golden orange with a frothy white head and great lacing. Floral, honey, slightly grassy, fruity, doughy, bready, and soapy aroma. Taste is soapy, grassy, somewhat spicy, orange peel, grapefruits, bready, caramelly, and doughy with a medium bitter finish. Medium body with soft carbonation. OK.

Draft at the brewery after cruising Park Co. Pretty light straw with a small white head. Lighter aroma but you can smell the hops. Nice flavor, maybe a little light for a DIPA but tasty.

Pour on tap at the brewery is hazy orange with white head, aroma brings notes of pine, caramel, slight grass, hints of biscuit as well but fairly dominated by hops. Taste is a mix of pine and grass, some slight pine, finishes very bitter that blasts away the malt. Ok.

GABF 2007: Poured a clear golden color with a medium off-white head. Earthy and sweaty hop aroma with a caramel malt base. The flavor was earthy and malty with a light citrus. Light-medium body with some warmth.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at the Brewery. Deep amber with offwhite head. Nose of bitter piney hops, grapefruit hops, and toasty malt. Flavor is malt-forward, nice and toasty, with nice bitterness throughout, and some citrus sweetness showing up in the finish. The hops were a touch soapy on the finish. Full and creamy throughout, very enjoyable. I have a hard time believing it was 9%.

A good beer. Not as hoppy as expected. A beer one drinks for taste, not effect. Left a slightly bitter aftertaste. Great aroma.

Amber and a light head with small lacing. Citrus aromas along with floral and bitter hops. Caramel mixes in. Flavor is fruity. Bubblegum and citrus come out with bitter hops. Sweet malts blend well. Nice, bitter tail.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
1/2 Gallon Growler, given to me. Pretty looking burgundy in color. Aroma reminiscent of several East Coast Double IPA’s (Wailing Wench, Big A), big malts and equal hops, with toffee, chocolate and berries, along with fat, resinous, citrusy hop cones, and a hint of plum and banana peel. Quite the intoxicating blend. Flavor is pretty equally balanced, sweet with a nice malt flavor and a nice bitterness and hop flavor. Quite rich, with a strong alcohol flavor, but fitting.
