Commercial Description:
An Irish style stout brewed with caramel & black malts. Slightly dry, yet smooth & malty sweet, this draft is dispensed with a blend of nitrogen & carbon dioxide to create a velvety mouthfeel and a creamy head.

Tasting at CBF. Black with medium tan head. Aroma of roasted chocolate and light coffee. Nice mild stout - medium bodied, dry finish, easy on the tongue. A little too Guinness-like, would be a lot better with just a tad more taste.

Had at the All Colorado Beer Festival in Colorado Springs on 11/7/09. Color is black with good carbonation and a tall thick head. Aroma is a roasted almost burnt scent. Starting with a bold medium body it goes down with a sharp feel. Finish is roasted with a little coffee and a hint of chocolate. In the after taste the roasted flavors turn to a dry bitterness. Overall its ok, just a little light.

On tap at the 2009 NABA. Pours a dark brown color with a medium beige head. The aroma was nice; dry coffee, roasted malts and light chocolates. The flavor was similar; a nice dry stout, lightly roasted malts, coffee and chocolates. Easygoing and very quaffable.

On tap @ Dillon Dam poured a translucent dark brown with a small lasting brown head. Aromas of coffee, charcoal, roasted malt and a hint of smoke. Palate was light bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of coffee, roasted malt, light charcoal and light bitter chocolate with a smooth roasty finish.

On tap. Pours black with little brown head. Flavor is thin, light for a stout. Dry, some chocolate. Medium finish.

on tap-pours a retaining creamy light brown head and black color. Aroma is dark malt-coffee/licorice, then acidic-rubbing alcohol. Taste follows. Dry finish. Not my style.

Draft at the brewery. Black with tan head. Great nose of toasty, roasted malts, harsh coffee, and faint creamy sweetness. Flavor delivers on all of these, very well balanced. Quite enjoyable, though it didn’t seem like nitrogen was involved at all.

Rating from 3/06. On tap @ DD. Served on beer gas. Dark color, red tints. Aroma is roasted barley, some chocolate. Taste is roasty with some sour notes. An admirable Guinness clone.
