Crystal clear orange with fleeting white head. Very clean beer. Malt dominates and is very dry and biscuity, no caramel or soft malt character. Good balance.

Taster at the brewpub after cruising highway 9. Nice looking copper-gold color with a small head and nice lacing. Tasty lager with a little more character than most marzens. Good.

This was served as ZumaZen Marzen, though I was told it was the same as Montezume - 4 oz taster draft at the brew pub in Dillon, Colorado. Pour is a clear golden light amber, with a minimal light tan head. Aroma is caramel malt, with a nice toasted cracker character. The taste is big nutty malt up front, along with some herbal sweetness, then finishes with some mineral. Palate is medium bodied, slightly low carbonation which works with the nuttiness, and a smooth finish. Nice Marzen.

NABA 08’: Pours a bourbon amber color with light head. The nose is very malty and fruity with a light earthy toast note. The flavor is full and meaty, nice body and mouthfeel. Seems a bit more of an ale, but it’s tasty nonetheless.
