I see that my rating is quite a bit higher than everyone previous to me. I simply LOVED this beer! It had a sweeter taste with a defined caramel finish. The after taste lingers in your mouth like a refreshing dessert. Maybe it was the altitude, but this beer did it for me!

On tap at the brewpub. Dark amber to light reddish brown in color with a thin off white head. Head retention poor. Aroma tough to pick out- bread dough and caramel, but very slight. Medium to thin body. Flavor is okay, but not something that build upon anything more than a basic mild choc/roasted taste.

On tap at the Dillon Dam Brewery & Restaurant. Poured a medium brown color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of caramel, nuts, and toasted malts. Tastes of caramel, light roast, and chocolate. For a brown ale, this wasn’t bad.

A sweeter than expected brown ale. Rich hazel-nuttiness, with some sweet caramel and toffee. Well balanced and quite smooth, with some floral, herbal hoppiness showing through as well. Finishes quite lingering, enjoyable!

Draught. Pours mahagony-amber with an edgy tan head and spotty lacing. Aroma is light milk chocolate, caramel malt, maple, meal (grain) and yeast. Medium bitter chocolate malt, caramel, sour malt and yeast, grain and meal. Medium bodied, thin and smooth palate.

Bottle pored aq clear brown with a small amber head. Aromas of carmel, toffee and nuts. Palate was light bodied. Kinda watery actually. Flavors of toffee, carmel and a bit of nuttiness with a lingering bittersweet finish.

Bottle. Notes of caramel and toffee with an ok head on the pour. Light coffee and roasted grain flavors upon tasting. Pretty decent for a brown that I am not a big fan of. Watery, but maybe a plus for me with this style.

Had this on-tap at the brewery. Beer poured a clear, dark-amber color with a small, creamy, off-white, mostly diminishing head and nice lacing. The aroma is moderately malty with roasted grain, cookie and caramel; trace notes of herbal hops and a light miscellaneous note of cherry. The flavor begins with a trace of sweetness and gives away to a long, moderately bitter finish. The body was medium-to-full with a watery texture and lively carbonation.

Brown, as one might expect from a brown ale. Faint caramel aroma. Hint of maple, hint caramel, hint of this, hint of that, etc, etc - perhaps a bit too understated for its own good? Thanks to Indana_Red for the trade!
