Bottle. [Great two day tasting session @ Papsoe] Small fizzy off-white head that mostly diminished. Spare lacework. Somewhat clear and flat looking body with a pale golden color. Aroma of grain, straw, caramel, fruit, citrus. Over the palate light bread, light sour notes. Quit mellow. Light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Light to moderated sweet flavor with a hint of acidic and bitterness. Light toasted sweet finish.

Bottle: Deep golden to copper coloured, mid-sized, quite stable, lacing head, shy sweet-malty/ toasted nose with a tinge of alcohol; moderate sweetish-bitter flavour; traces of alcohol and toasted malt in the light sweet-bitter finish. Boring, not well balanced brew.....
3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20 MiP (12146) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - JUL 21, 2007
Bottle, 7.0%. Clear brown colour. Small head. The flavour is quite malty, with pepper to balance. A little yeast flavour too. The flavour might not be exceptional, but it is very well-balanced.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 MoritzF (7756) - Bochum, GERMANY - MAY 29, 2007
(bottle) Clear, deep golden to amber colour with a thick and slowly lacing foamy white head. Sweet and slightly perfumed malty nose, also some dusty notes with a slightly papery honey-fruity character. Sweet flavour, medium bodied with a calm carbonation. Malty, slightly fruity (pears) taste with a medium-dry, sweet and minimal-bitter finish. Again this one has the slightly perfumed house character I do not like.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 GarethYoung (1109) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - JAN 5, 2007
[Botte from Little Germany] Deep amber colour with a thick white head. Deep malty nose, sweet and plummy, peach, toffee apples. Full body, lots more malt on the palate, with a spicey hop bite in the finish. Great stuff.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 scotty (959) - SCOTLAND - MAY 3, 2006
A deep golden colour, good thick white head leaves an attractive lace. Typically sweet and malty, with a nice bitter edge which lingers for a while as the 7% alcohol gradually makes its way to the grey matter. Very smooth and dangerously easy to drink, a good flavoursome beer. From Little Germany,Grangemouth.
