Smells malty, grassy. Flavor is light and easy-drinking. No funkiness, but no real noticeable hops. Okay.

Narnad (1136) - Wonder Lake, Illinois, USA - JUN 11, 2008
Poured from a green bottle was clear straw in color, small white head formed when poured and a lot of carbonation. Skunk smell at first but dissipates pretty quickly and leaves the strong hops aroma behind. Flavor is very cheap grainy flavor. Didn’t care for this beer too much but do enjoy other beers in this German pils style.

Skunkmasta! I had this last night, It was particularly malty on the palate, and lots of skunk coming out in the aroma. clear, straw yellow with a medium head that is quick to dissipate. grainy all the way through.

kidmartinek (1763) - austin, Texas, USA - MAY 12, 2008
Straw yellow, 1.5 inch white head nice and frothy, incredibly thick, and lasting. Bitter hop aroma. Smooth malt flavor and bitter hop flavor as well. Overall a pretty bitter pilsener, but a pure smelling and tasting one as well. Small bubbling, and good lacing. Slight metallic finish and one a hint of sweetness.

Skunked smell, pretty bad, but fortunately not strong. Clear piss yellow thin white head. Bitter and slightly sweet with no character. Hint of sweet grass.

Bottle: Appearance is light golden, canary-crystal with a bright, foamy head that diminishes quickly but leaves behind a well developed Bavarian Lace. Aroma is quite subtle with balanced hop/malt character. Initial taste explodes with bright citrus, a pleasant sourness and malt sweetness deepening into a substantial but smooth bittering. A far greater deal of hop character evident is in the taste, far more than the aroma indicates. The aftertaste is lingering, a warm bittterness and sweeter background aroma. Slick, buttery mouthfeel that sticks around and provides a richness to the aftertaste. I’m a big fan of classic pilsener styles and this has become one of my favorites.

BeMerry (37) - Fairfax, Virginia, USA - APR 9, 2008
Bottle. Pours clear light yellow-amber with 2-inch loose, bubbly head. Refreshing yeasty pungent aroma. Taste is slightly sour and dry with musty fermented, yeasty, citrus notes that ends bitter sweet with little aftertaste. Mouthfeel is thin. Light and refreshing.
