UPDATED: AUG 18, 2005 From the bottle at Yeoman’s Road Pub. It doesn’t look like a flavorless watery lager/pilsener from Germany, but guess what.......There is some malt flavor there and some caramelt, but it tastes like it was added to 11 ounces of water.

Draft at the Wurstfest. Glad I stayed with the HoffB and the HaSC before I had this one. a light bodied semi watery brew with seemingly added caramel coloring and caramel candy taste. Both in taste and color the dark fails. Watery body with a metallic and mercifully quick finish. Back to the HB for me for the rest of the evening. Head was a nice light beige. Blah

Clear copper pour, no head, some lace. Little to no aroma. Very flat, sweet caramel flavor, not much going for this. Tastes like a wimpy Newcastle Brown

Thoroughly disappointing. Holding it up to the light, the appearance reminded me of dark, cherry cough syrup. Flavor was bland, with a hint of hops and fennel. The quality that seriously hurts this beer, however, is the aroma, which is foul and earthy. A beer can’t be good if its aroma causese you to hesistate taking the first sip.

The best thing about this one is the color. Maybe mine was skunked (damned green bottle)but it was sour and just plain bad. This beer left a bad bitterness with no real finish and no reason to want to take the next drink. I cannot recommend this beer to my friends or my enemies. Don't bother.

Pours brown with a beige head. Aroma is grain, apple, skunk, sweet malt, and is like cereal. Taste is faint nuttiness , skunk, grain, and an unpleasant sweetness. Not very good, some roast but this beer is mostly weak and cheap.

Bottle. Smelled a bit skunky. Poured dark amber. Little head that it didnt retain. Thin mouthfeel. Didnt like this one very much.

what to say? cloudy amber with a brown head, it has an utterly unimpressive aroma followed by metallic flavor. creamy, the aftertaste is actually alright.

From Bottle: a small head leads to a espresso aroma. It had a very dark brown pour as well. Hoppy and sweet.
