COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

500 ml bottle in Germany. Hazy orange with nice white head and moderate foam. Strong banana aroma with some lemon. Lots of malt. slightly sweet for style but well with in limits. Ppalate is a dream for a Hefe. Overall a great hefe that finished well.

A fruity aroma, plenty of banana. The beer is light, fruity, just a bit weakish, but really another good German hefe.

(Bottled) Opaque orange color with a quite tight, foamy head. Strong, slightly sour but candyish banana-estery aroma with a hint of lemon. Very fruity, estery flavor with candy hints. Medium-bodied, refreshing palate with balanced carbonation. A very fresh, fruity and refreshing weizen.

Astonishing beer. I personally believe that the most famous products are not necessarily the better ones (e.g. heineken, fosters, carlsberg, etc. If someone disagrees with me please don’t hesitate to contact me and discuss it!! But I do believe all those (and many more) brands are quite disappointing). And though this Hefe-Weizen may not be as well-known as a Paulaner or Franziskaner... It’s still remarkably nice! Hazy appearance as in a usual weissbier, good frothy head that helps the maintenance after the pooring (always in a tall hefe-weizen glass!!) Distelhäuser is of medium/heavy sweetness, with some banana and cloves tastes but not too much. Average carbonation, maybe too little for my preferences, and that could be the only bad thing I’d say about this beer! Prost!

gold to orange in colour, very intense haze, pineapple and banana aromas in the nose, a lot of fruit-aroma without any sweetness, the finish is extremely dry.

Ratskeller restaurant, Würzburg. Head is initially large, frothy, rocky, white, fully lasting. Body is hazy medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (bread), lightly yeasty (cobwebs), with notes of banana and gum. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Medium body, creamy texture, soft/lively carbonation. Very pleasant example. More phenols in the nose might be nice to balance the big esters, but overall it’s damned solid.
