4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 BlackHaddock (1709) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - APR 10, 2012
18 Oct 2011: Brown 500ml bottle best before the end of this month, so 12 days life left when poured into my lovely Wolnzacher Brauhaus glass tankard.
It looked fantastic, a bright amber body as clean as any beer on earth, on top an off-white head of quality.
The aroma was of earthy malts with hints of caramel and sweet molasses.
The taste an impeccable blend of all things good about German beers: the brew is obviously infused with the best ingrediants available and lovingly produced to a high standard.
Peppery aftertaste, earthy and filling, I had some rough brown bread and some mildly smoked ham with the last few drops of the beer and it suited the food beautifully.
Very impressed indeed.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 ElDesmadre (476) - Mikołów, POLAND - MAR 8, 2012
Bottle from Quack-Duck, vielen Dank! Amber with an impressive fluffy head. Aroma is caramel malt, grain, some hops and subtle toffee. Maybe I’m prone to autosuggestion but something in this aroma is rural indeed, quite pleasantly so. Taste is light sweet with a medium bitterness, malty, caramelly and toasty with hints of toffee. Ok but unremarkable.

Bright amber color, high, long-lasting, head. Smells very malty, slightly roasty and subtle grainy. Starts malty bitter and roasty, with a slightly grainy aroma. The finish is also very malty, slightly bitter and dry.
3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 Valrak (2) - - MAY 2, 2011 does not count
A nice mid red/brown colour. Clear with a nice natural carbonation.
Clean and crisp on the nose with slight malt, citrus and toffee/caramel notes.
Initially sweet with the malt lasting throughout.
An underlying fruit base comes through ( like Abbot Ale ) but the malty, biscuity sweetish finish with almost a raisin aftertaste makes this a winner for me.....

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 jaghana (2100) - Strasbourg (France), FRANCE - MAR 12, 2011
Bottle 50cl. A clear amber-brown beer with good head and lacing. Nose is malty ans sightly vegetable like. Aroma is sweet, on barley sugar and caramel, with some grassy vegetable flavor at the finish, not too hopy. The beer has a dry finish with a watery mouse-feel. A basic dunkel.
