Mildly hopped, malzbetontes special beer with a distinct body, which nevertheless surprised by its softness. The grainy original with the powerful and spicy taste beery-a benefit not only for experts.

A ggod straight forward Maerzen beer. Nice smooth beer - a clean malty flavor. Probably only available in Germany. Have yet to be disappointed with any Distelhaeuser beer.

Deep golden, decent head. Malty aroma, bready, some toffee, minimal cardboard. Medium body. Well-rounded mouthfeel, nice balance. Bready taste with a toffee note and a fine hop bitterness. Very pleasant.

(Bottled) I was wasted while rating this , but I got a few notes down , but spilt some of this over my ralph lauren sweater ,im not a clumsy drunk , but as a young entreprenur the stress makes me erratic . I cant drink Oktoberfest style beers without passing a thought to Spaten’s example ....this would have its ass kicked in the second round if boxing with Spaten , but anyway its rich ,grainy, and caramelly , but lacks depth or well thought construction .

Bottle bought in Germany a year ago, pours orange gold with a faint haze and a fluffy head, and aromas of Seville orange and dry grass. Full bodied and slightly sweet, but with drying bitter-orange notes and a peppery hoppiness.

Bottle: Golden coloured, slightly hazy, small, almost creamy head; grainy, sweetish, dusty nose with a tinge of resinous hoppiness; sweetish flavour, only traces of bitterness, medium bodied; sweetish - almost fruity finish with some hioppy edges. Not too aromatic, but all in all a chewy, hearty brew.................

Tiefgüldenes Bier mit üppig viel Schaum. Wildblütenaroma nach Honig. Durchaus würziger, vollmundiger Geschmack, nussig, toastig. Harzig-herber Abgang. Hat Charakter und ist obendrein angenehm süffig.

Bottled. Golden with a white bubble head. Aromas are sweet grain and Autumn fruit woth caramel, some soap and some sulphur. Flavours are grain and butter with fruit - especially pears. Juicy and addictive. Has some smokiness. Has some "odd" flavours that I found difficult to place - still decent.
