300ml bottle, Wertheim, Germany. Poured a clear dark gold colour with a one-finger white bubble head that diminshed quickly but laced OK. Low carbonation with a few small bubbles forming trails. Aroma strongly of grainy malt and a very slight hoppiness. Taste dominated by an unpleasant grainy malt and maybe a touch of citrus. Soapy mouthfeel. Light body. Long slightly sour malt finish. Poor.

UPDATED: FEB 7, 2013 Tap @ Posthalle, Würzburg 10/11/12 The color is a light yellow pils with a large, white head. Very nice. Aroma is strong with grain. Taste is strong as well. Grain, but also a whole load of grass with some lemon lurking in the fringes along with slighter notes of other fruit and pine. Palate is refreshing and well carbonated. Must be great on a sunny day.

This isn’t actually as good as the hefe, but is still nice. A very dry start, but too thin of a body. The finish has a little crisp dryness.
