This isn’t actually as good as the hefe, but is still nice. A very dry start, but too thin of a body. The finish has a little crisp dryness.

Bottled. A light golden beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of malt and bread as well as lighter notes of straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and straw, leading to a bitter finish.

Clear medium yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, hay, toasted, light hoppy, citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20090322]

bottle, Dankeschön nach Bochum! Clear pale yellow colour, large white head, hoppy nose. Light to medium bodied, shy but quite solid malty background with herbal hops on top. Pleasantly hoppy, wuite aromatic. A classic Pilsener.

500ml bottle from BeersOfEurope. Salty lager. Big nasty cheap hop extract or some such shit. A dusty, throat catching rather unpleasant bitterness on top of a cheap malt. This is nasty stuff.

The bottle looks simple, but good. The beer in the glass not very zippy, much foam. Starts malty-dry, turns washy. Finish is a little bit scratchy. I didn’t like it.

Ratskeller restaurant, Würzburg. Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is sparkling clear light yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), moderately hoppy (flowers, herbs), with a light note of metal. Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly metallic. The suggestion of metal in the nose appears in the finish, but otherwise this is a nice, bright north German style pils.

Strong corn aroma. Very light yellow color with a medium white head. Corn taste with very mild hops.
