Quite foul. Glad I didn’t have a pint of this. Pours golden slightly amber. Rust and chemical varnish that didn’t work to clean it off. Tap at brewpub.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draft at the brewpub. Pours clear amber with a medium sizes off white head and solid retention. The aroma has caramel malt and sone floral notes. The taste is semi hoppy but has a big sweet caramel finish . But bad.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This was a pretty okay amber considering my lack of interest in ambers. More maltiness than the average amber, with some light biscuit.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap 5 oz. sample at the District Chophouse & Brewer in downtown Washington, DC.
Clear, amber-red with a cream-white head and very good lacing. Aroma of brown bread, caramel and mild floral hops. Taste of caramel, butterscotch, bread and floral hops in a nice balance. Medium body and medium carbonation.
Velvet Amber, which is the same beer on nitro, was also on tap. It was a better looking beer, but with a less pleasant mouthfeel. The Velvet Amber was a clear, amber orange-red with a large khaki head and excellent lacing and no carbonation. The aroma, taste and body were about the same as the regular Amber. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
