COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This medium-bodied ale is characterized by its rich, malty sweetness. The interplay of five different malts provide a slight toffee and chocolate flavor profile. This is the dark beer that light beer drinkers love. A favorite of DC 101’s "Elliot in the Morning" crew before, after and during Cap’s hockey games. $1.01 from each pint sold will be donated to Olie (Kolzig) and Elliot’s Great Saves Program.

Reviewed from notes. Pours a moderate brown color with an off white head and a small amount of lacing. The nose is a moderate amount of malt plus some small notes of toffee and caramel. A bit of light nutty character. The taste is moderately malty without too much going on. The feel is fairly light with nice balance. Drinks fairly well, but is fairly ordinary.
