From a sampler at District ChopHouse in DC on September 5th, 2005. Pellucid gold. Nose is malty with light citrus. Taste is grainy and lemony. Semi-sweet malts and faint honey and grassiness. Light bodied with a mild carbonation feel. Finishes citrusy and wheaty.

Reviewed from notes. Pours a clear yellow straw color with plenty of visible carbonation bubbles and a nice white head. The nose brings some light grain and not too much else. No vegetables or cardboard, which is a plus here. Taste is similar with mild grain. Light body and really nice drinkability, especially when compared against its "peers." On tap, DC location, 2006 RBSG pubcrawl. Pours a pale yellow with a small fizzy white head that settled to a thin film. Moderate fine visible carbonation. Aroma is of very light crystal malt and light corn. Flavor is pretty minimal, but certainly not offensive like many brewpub Lights. Mouthfeel is thin with fizzy carbonation. Overall, about what you’d expect, watery and weak, but at least it was drinkable.

Tap. Clear golden yellow, thin white head. Crisp clean refreshing. A touch of cereal corn \ wheat. Aroma is light malt. Basic and boring.... for the commoners.

Overall Impression: I found this beer to be better then I expected. I mean it is a boring style, so you don’t get a ton of excitement out of it usually, but this one at least was crisp, clean, and refreshing, and for it’s style, more of a quality selection (vs. its own style) then most of their other offerings that I sampled.

Yellow, fizzy, cold. A bit of lemon in the aroma, even candy--curious. But it finishes lightly dry and a little like corn. Not terrible, thanks to the flavors, but not good. A little thin in the mouth. (on tap at brewpub)

On tap at the pub. Pale yellow beer with a thin fizzy head. Aresol hairspray nose. Bready malts with citrus/lemon notes and some corn. Not much to this beer, but nothing overtly offensive.

Pours golden from tap with an inch of white foam. Not a lot of aroma. Clean, crisp taste with a full, rich, creamy finish. Finishes clean.

Tap at the brewpub. Really not too bad at all. Relatively light pour, light grain, light fruit, clover, dryish, with a bit of an ugly malt note. Drinkable enough, and free of flaws for the most part.
