Aroma of fruity toasted malt. A bit of bubblegum, a touch of black pepper. All in a good way. Flavor has a rich malty backbone. Followed by an herbal / medicinal hop. Very rich, full bodied. 26 Oct 09.

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 3, 2009 On tap @ the Chophouse. On nitro, really?!? First off a horrible pour by the bartender. Amber/brown with a huge dense creamy beige head. Very mild aroma of bread. Sweet and malty with faint bitterness. The nitro added a nice creaminess to this but the beer was just ok to begin with. radagast83 (1317), Fairfax, Virginia, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 18, 2007 A great beer for autumn. Poured in a larger glass mug. Nice clear, amber color with a frothy white head. Malt and roasted nut aroma, along with a light hint of spice and hops. Not too heavy, but a little mor than medium bodied. Very enjoyable. I believe the alcohol is deceiving, because it’s a lot stronger than the 5.5% indicates. One of the better beers from Chophouse. scoobyluv (486), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA
