Tap. Deep reddish-copper color. Bright white head. Flavor is odd, a bit off. Aroma of fruity toasted malt. A bit of bubblegum, a touch of black pepper. All in a good way. Flavor has a rich malty backbone. Followed by an herbal / medicinal hop. Very rich, full bodied.

On tap @ the Chophouse. On nitro, really?!? First off a horrible pour by the bartender. Amber/brown with a huge dense creamy beige head. Very mild aroma of bread. Sweet and malty with faint bitterness. The nitro added a nice creaminess to this but the beer was just ok to begin with.

Poured a medium-dark amber color with a white head. Aroma was a moderately sweet malt, with notes of roasted nuts, spices. Flavor is sweet caramel, moderately bitter finish. Not bad.

Draught at the brewpub
Dirty glass! Very light flavors and aroma, some caramel, completely useless.

A great beer for autumn. Poured in a larger glass mug. Nice clear, amber color with a frothy white head. Malt and roasted nut aroma, along with a light hint of spice and hops. Not too heavy, but a little mor than medium bodied. Very enjoyable. I believe the alcohol is deceiving, because it’s a lot stronger than the 5.5% indicates. One of the better beers from Chophouse.

Tap in Denver. Pours a lush orange/brown with nice lacing. Aroma is faint malt with a touch of roasted nut. Flavor is semi-sweet roasted malt. Palate is middle-of-the-road. Not bad.
