Bottle at Bryghuset No5. Black. Aroma moderate malty (roasted, burnt) and hoppy. Flavor moderate sweet, more bitter. Medium body. A good stout, but with no signs of Christmas either.

Bottle mislabed as julewee. Black colour with a tan head. Aroma is smoked ham. Flavour is smoked ham, roasted malt, coffee, cacao, hop.Medium body. OK beer.

Bottle mislabeled as JuleWee.Pours dark brown almost black with a brown head.Aroma of roasted grains , some general fruityness and some peat/smoke.Flavour is roasted grains with some smoke/peat and some licorice.Medium body, average carbonation.

Bottle, mislabeled as JuleWee. A finger-thick, diminishing, dense tan head sits on top of a body that’s almost black. The aroma has a heavy roastyness, with peated hints and quite sweetish. Sweet and roasted flavor with some roasted like bitterness, the same bitterness is in the finish. Medium body, smooth but feeling a bit watery. Easy drinkable, one-dimensional and decent. 100407

Clear dark red brown color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, coffee, dusty. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100311]

UPDATED: MAR 18, 2010 50 cL bottle, courtesy of Papsoe. Pours dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is hardroasted dark malty. Smooth roasted dark malty. Light yeast fruity note. Smooth roasted and chocolate malty flavoured finish.

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has strong notes of chocolate, medium notes of malt, and lighter notes of dust. The flavor is sweet with notes of matl and chocolate, leading to a dry roasted finish.

Bottled. Dark brown/black coloured. Light brown head. Light liqourice, herbs, caramel, coffee in the aroma. Flavour of coffee, cocoa, sweetness, light roast and spice. Medium to full bodied. Dry light roasty bitterness in the end.

Dark brown with a medium beige head. Sweet aroma with burned malt, chocolate and espresso. Sweet flavour with burned malt, chocolate, espresso and hoppy notes.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours an opaque pitch black with a small, rough off-white head. Peaty, hard roasted maltiness in the nose. Medium body, low in carbonation, tar and peat with some malty sweetness and a whiff of salty licorice. Salty, peaty finish. Delicious. 030110

Bottle 50 cl. Small light beige fizzy head that mostly diminished. Spare display of lacework. Black color. Aroma of mild roasted malt, hint of fruit, light dry Smokey notes as well. Light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Light to moderated sweet flavor with light bitterness. Light sweet mild roasted malty finish.
