Bottle, mislabeled as Sofielyst JuleStout. Unclear, orange-golden, topped by a diminishing white head. Slighlty off it seems with a little sourness, chalk and lots of fruityness. Refreshing, medium bodied beer, quite dry and pleasantly carbonated. Good bitterness and citrus. Bitter finish, in a citrus-peel way. An orangey beer that lacks on other references to Christmas. More of a pale ale than a wee heavy. Drinkable indeed, but not my cup of tea. 100423

Bottle, bought @ Barley Wine, Cph.
Pours hazy orange-amber with a small, creamy, film head. Aroma is malty, softly vinious, fruit and toasted caramel. Not much Christmas in aroma. Low carbonation, fine dry mouthfeel. Flavour is malty, caramel, orange peel, some notes of holly and cloves. Good dryness and viniousness in the finish. Better than expected.

Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily and sticky, carbonation is soft. [20100311]

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, citrus, and flowers. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of flowers as well as medium notes of malt and straw, leading to a dry and lightly alcoholic finish - not much christmas over this one.
