Bottle. The Maibock from dithmarschen smells strong of bread and malt, also some light sweet alcoholic aroma, rather complex. The small white foamy head disappears fast, the body is clear and red. The taste is nice malty, unfortunately also light metallic in the finish. The texture is creamy and light oily, not much carbonation, the body is medium strong.

Deep gold with a big cream head. Hops and sweet malt on the nose, then spicy, dry and malty with a crisp bitter-sweet finish. Very nice.

Amber color with a small white head. The flavour starts with some bread, then turns more hoppy in the spicy way. Bitterness in the finish. Thin mouthfeel.

Bügelverschlußflasche: Deep golden, clear, slowly collapsing fluffy off-white head; citrousy-bisquity nose with a touch of almonds; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; increasing bitterness towards the lemony-bisquity finish; some alk in the aftertaste. Quite O.K. .......

MoritzF (7386) - Bochum, GERMANY - MAY 27, 2009
(33cl swing top bottle) Clear, deep golden colour with a big and cream-coloured foamy head, that leaves lace-work. Sweet cara-malty and slightly biscuity aroma with a shy tinge of oak-honey and herbal hops. Sweet flavour with a light but balancing bitterness, medium to full bodied with a smooth carbonation. Slightly bready malty taste with notes of biscuits; bitter-sweet finish with light notes of alcohol and metal. All in all a drinkable Bock (27.V.09).
