Bottle shared at Bruce’s in London - thanks to Colin. Pours mostly clear brown with a creamy tan head. Some burnt bread in the nose, leathery fruits, hints of spicy pine. Light sweet flavor with faintly tangy dried berries, a bit of dry yeast, bread, toast. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Somewhat dry on the finish with leathery berries, dry bread, dry wood. Not bad.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle courtesy of Puzzl, a few months back. Cheers, Andy. Pours a lightly hazy amber body with active white lacing that dissipates quickly. Aroma is full of belgian spice but also a darker malt bill. Mouthfell is effervescent with lots of spice, belgian yeast, caramel, chocolate malt, light earthy character and some burning fruity alcohol in the finish.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours dark amber, mostly unclear, with a beige head. The delicious aroma brings dark cocoa and chocolate notes, as well as some sweet liqueur notes. The base flavor is sweet and nutty, wheat like as in the style, but after a few seconds this pleasant chocolate flavor hits out of nowhere and settles on the palate with the rest of the flavors. It is uncanny but delicious.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
A - Pours a dark black-brown color with a thin finger of frothy khaki colored head. The head fades down at a normal pace leaving behind a bit of lace.
S - Aroma is roasted malts and chocolate, with a touch of coffee and dark fruit with some spicy yeast, banana, wheat, and a touch of smoke.
T - Starts off with some roasted chocolate malts with some dark fruit sweetness, spicy and peppery yeast, and a touch of smoke. Through the middle, some banana and clove flavors come through with a touch of yeast and a bit of coffee. The finish is a mix of roasted and lightly burnt caramel and chocolate malts, spicy and banana yeast flavors, pepper, and a hint of smoke.
M - Medium-full bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a dry, sweet, spicy, and warming finish.
D - Very drinkable. A really unique and interesting beer, with the roasted flavors really working nicely with the Weizenbock base.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Davis Coop. Aromas were sorta peppery and boozy, even though the flavor didn’t have much (if any) alcohol burn. Pepper and savory flavors throughout. Some malty and fruity notes. Overall, this beer is different than anything I’ve ever tasted. Good beer, but it was difficult to finish.
