Light amber brown look with some syrupy malt in the aroma. Light laps of malt and hops touch the palate. Another beer made to not offend.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 tiggmtl (4475) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 2, 2007
Caramel and toasty malts are apparent in the aroma along with floral and earthy hops. Clear deep golden coloured body is topped by a decent white head that recedes slowly to a lasting cover. Well-balanced flavour contrasts caramel and toasted malts with the british style floral hops and light to moderate bitterness. Slight diacetyl and mild fruity esters offer accents. Sweetness lingers in the aftertaste. Medium light body with decent effervescence. Enjoyed on tap at the brewpub.

Amber colour, slightly off-white head. Nice malty aroma with earthy/woodsy hops as well. Flavour is well-balanced as well, clean toasty malts, a touch of caramel and biscuit with sweet breadiness on the back. Earthy hop flavour balances the malts perfectly. Light minerally quality in back as well. Perfectly balanced, solid, session beer.

UPDATED: MAR 31, 2007 March 30, 2007: Northwest Pale Ale. Golden-amber colour. Fresh aroma has kumquat, orange. Flavour is vague citrus, hints of wood. Moderate bitterness. Finish gets chewier with rich caramel malts, along with lingering resiny, grapefruity hops. Solid if unspectacular.
April 19, 2005: Slightly hazy amber brew. Citrusy, slighlty foresty/mossy hop aroma with light toasty malt as a backdrop. Moderately bitter but with a little honeyish sweetness. Light lime, grapefruit and apricot notes. Balanced and refreshing. Ar 7 Ap 4 F 8 P 4 O 15 = 3.8
Oct 17, 2005: Dark amber colour. Fairly earthy aroma. Earthy, spicy hops character with a fairly strong English yeast influence. Light toasty malts in the background. Very English-tasting, and does so without ramming EKGs or Fuggles down your throat. Very drinkable, excellent balance. Nice work. Ar 7 Ap 3 Fl 8 P 4 O 16 = 3.8

Had a fancier name to it than just pale ale. Pale but uninspiring, to be honest. Sadness. After this, I decided to leave. To have street falafel in Vancouver. Why are there so many Lebanese in the Pacific Northwest? It’s wonderful and amazing.
