Sampled at the 2009 Canada’s Cup of Beer. One of the better beers at this festival, which isn’t saying much. Pale yellow, with a smooth palate. Mild flavour of hops and bread. I wouldn’t pass up a free one.

On draught at the DIX BBQ & Brewery in downtown Vancouver, BC. Pours a clear pale blonde brew with a creamy white head that slowly dissipates to a cream top and spotty lacing. Aroma of sweet bread dough, flowery hops and a touch of apple. Taste is light to medium bodied, with flavors of white bread dough, flowery hops and a touch of pear. Finish is semi-sweet, flowery and a light malt aftertaste. Slightly little more metallic than the Taylor’s Crossing version but still enjoyable.

On tap at The Tomato. Pale golden yellow, moderate white foamy cap. Clean grainy aroma, a little doughy. Same on the palate really, clean finish. No surprises, no complaints, just not a lot to talk about.

Pale blond color. A simple Lager, with just a very little malt flavor, dry.

Pours so pale as to be almost completely clear with no head, fine bubbles. Sweet aroma, notes of corn and honey. Tastes like kettle corn - lots of diacetyl, a light breadiness, a faint toasted character and a hint of creamed corn. Hoo boy. Low carbonation yet fizzy, very watery body. Ew ew ew.

Pale golden with deent sized frothy head. Aroma was slightly soapy and bready. A little sweet throughout without much hop presence.

Pint. Thick head lasting on pale yellow. Not a gratifying beer. Uncomfortable sweet girly beer. (or that is what my rating appears to say. 6 previous pints this aft including the 7.7% IPA have had their effect on my notebook)

Sure, I’ll do the tick. Straw colour. Thin head. Lots of tiny bubbles. Light pale malt and grassy hop. Malt-accented, bouncing between doughiness and breadiness. Not much bitterness. Bland but clean. I can’t give a failing grade on execution, only on concept.

Sparkling golden color. Very pleasant light malt nose. Slightly sweet malt flavor. Clean and crisp in the finish
