COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Derrick Franche's Scottish Ale, not to be confused with Tony Dewald's Scotch Ale from a few years ago. New recipe built from scratch.

Amber colored with a thin white head. Smells of red licorice, medium malt and some christmas spice. Flavor is red fruits and candy, light spicy hops and shortbread. Palate is medium, smooth with a fairly lasting sweet finish. This is a solid scottish ale but it is best to pair it appropriately with food because the sweetness is otherwise excessive in large volumes.

Deep amber beer with a thin white head. Aroma is pretty nice. Sweet malty nose with a bit of light caramel and some toasted wheat character (which is strange). Sweet and chewy with a light hoppiness. Kind of an unusual take on the style. Lingering caramelly sweetness.

Pours a light amber with a great creamy head with lacing. Barely noticeable light fruity aroma. Tastes very bland, lots of diacetyl, no hops to speak of. Creamy body but low in carbonation. This needs more malt character.

(Draught) Pours a lasting, thin almond-coloured head with a highly carbonated bronze body. Nose of strong malt and butter. Its not bad, it tastes buttery but its not totally diacetyl. Flavours of spice mix with a wooden malt. Interesting.

Pretty amber-red colour with lovely sparkle. Caramel nose with some earthiness. Light & clean body. Hint of stickiness. Caramel/diacetyl notes at the back. Not my style but harmless rendition.
