A vibrant hazy straw colour - looks good in the light. Fairly heavy strawberry aroma - jammy with a light, pale malt background. Light, balanced, jammy taste. Two things strike me about this beer. First is that it’s got to be the cleanest beer at Dix in years - not even a hint of diacetyl, something that always bugs me with their brews. Second, the balance is really good here. Strawberry isn’t really a great flavour for beer but it does add a pleasant nuance to a refreshing golden ale. Good summer ale.

2nd annual Vancouver Caskival. Cloudy, very pale yellow colour. Faint wheaty aroma with the faintest hint of strawberry fruitiness. Flavour is quite wheaty and dry with a touch of lemon citrus and the barest suggestion of fruit. Works quite well, nice quaffable beer.
