Aroma is light, overly sweet. Flavor is mostly sweet also. Body is so thin that the carbonation feels strong.

12 oz. bottle pours a slightly hazy light yellow color with medium white head. Aroma is not strong, but has some grass, biscuits, and perhaps corn. Taste is middle-of-the-road, neither bitter nor sweet, with a slightly metallic finish. Body is light with noticeable carbonation. An OK lawnmower beer, and better than most other pale lagers from Monroe, WI. I wish I knew what Dixie beer from New Orleans tasted like decades ago.

Sweet biscuit malt, honey and fruit aromas. It pours golden/yellow with a slight haze. Small white head that fades to a thin ring that attempts some lacing. Nicely rounded palate w/ med carbonation that adds a nice crispness. Flavors are mostly sweet malts, cream corn, banana and a hint of hops in the finish. There’s neither anything offensive or exciting here. Sweet for a pale lager, but refreshing on a hot day.

Poured from bottle to glass at Bub City. Clear golden pour. Dank musty floral taste. Slightly bitter. Fruity citrus flavor. Easy drinking. Way better than expected

Bottle. Pours a clear straw yellow body with a small fizzy white head that faded fairly quickly. Smells like those ’select grains’ are primarily corn, as that’s about the only thing that comes across in the aroma. The flavor is pretty par for the course in the Pale Lager style. Lots of corn syrup sweetness and some light vegetal notes on the finish. A bit sticky and clingy from the residual sweetness with fizzy prickly carbonation. Pretty bad stuff. I’m guessing that the real Dixie Beer that was made back in the day in New Orleans was much better than what this crap is.

330ml bottle purchased in Finland, brewed in EU for Pierhead purchasing UK. Clear golden body with fizzy average head, that rapidly disappears. Sweet malt aroma and taste; caramel and grain, cooked cabbage, maybe some fruit and honey notes to. Dull and bland... @Home 27.Apr.2013

Fizzy. Missus said ’yuck’. Wasn’t all that bad though - trust me, as you avid followers will be aware - I’ve had worse in the last few days.
