Pours a clean pale yellow. One finger of white head. Nose shows hay and sweet bready malt. Flavor is almost sour, bready. Crappy.

Thought it fitting to have a Louisiana brew on Fat Tuesday with some Jamabalya at "The Lost Cajun," in Frisco, CO. From the bottle taste is caramel, honey, yeast, grain and malt. Went nice with the spicy Cajun meal. Oh and to Suttree, Dixie is contract brewed to Minhas in Wisconsin because the brewery was destroyed in Katrina and has yet to re-open.

Very pale pour with a white fluffy head. Aroma is light of pale malts and not much else. Has a smooth mourth feel and heavy butter flavor.

Kullanvärinen olut lähes olemattomalla vaahdolla. Tuoksussa on makeaa mallasta, hunajaa ja heinää. Maku on hedelmäinen, makea, hunajainen ja maltainen. Aikalailla hapoton, kevyt ja vetinen. Parhaita pitkään aikaan maistamiani vaaleita lagereita.

I gotta say, I came really close to docking this beer a point for being named "Dixie" but being brewed in Wisconsin. It just seems...wrong...At any rate, this is pretty standard, Sweet corn, almost syrupy. Not much else going on.

33cl bottle, brewed in the EU, from Westholme Stores, Goring. Slightly hazy amber with a huge billowing white head that faded quickly; aroma has corn and wooden barrels; more wood in the flavour, but otherwise rather thin, watery and sweet. Clean finish.

A bit corny but reasonably crisp and a fair balance. Fair to good as pale lagers go.

From a bottle poured a golden color with a small amount of head. Light grassy malty flavor with a quick finish.
