Strong initial taste with light aftertaste. Smooth with a very floral finish. Tastes a bit like roasted nuts.

(bottle - 12 oz) Slightly hazy gold color with a very thin white head. Aroma is sweet and grainy with some dry, bitter corn and malt along with a light hint of sawdust. Sweet and malty at the start with a bitter corn and hop middle. Watery finish with the lightest hint of sweet on the aftertaste. Nothing special, just a smooth lager.

Pineapple to look at and fizzy like sherbert and then with a slight long smoky bacon flavour in the end. A decent quaffer which is umpteen times better than the US macros.

Bottle. Pours a pale clear yellow with white fizzy head. Aroma has a nice floral, faint malt back bone. Flavor has a faint fruit, light malt backbone, I can detect a little wood in the after taste. Mouth feel is light body with high carbonation. Overall, it’s not all that bad, an easy drinker.

Good name, my grandmother was a Dixie. 12 oz.bottle to footed pilsner glass. Pours pale gold with white thin, but lasting head. I get grain with a hint of floral. I can definitely taste the cypress, having breathed a lot of cypress saw dust., but it does not detract and gives a slight complexity missing in most American Pale lagers. Normal light feel in the mouth for the style, thin and unobtrusive, but unremarkable too. I can see this as a staple in the Louisiana summer heat.

Pours a golden yellow with a corn and grain smell. A minor bitterness, with rain under notes throughout the beer. A decent pale lager that was easy drinking.

Pours a clear, straw colored body with a lasting white head. Aromas and flavor are simply grainy and malty. Finish is slightly floral. Some points for the name.
