3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 raymow (745) - Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 19, 2005
This has an interesting and I guess, drinkable taste. I think it has a malty, slightly different flavor that I find (like I said already)...interesting.

This is a fairly smooth lager, palate is a bit on the heavy side. Very faint sense of honey in the taste. Good appearance and lacing, nice finish.

CLASSIC- light in color and flavor, good daytime beer, something that would go well with pizza or and sandwich. Is popular with the New Orleans locals.

A desireable straw color pour with a 1/2 inch pure white head. Good pilsener style arom with skunky malt and hop mash aroma. A truely unique flavor with a one of a kind bitter malt sweetness. Texture is light and a little waxy. Brings back good memories if nuthin’ else.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 rjplumer (306) - Foxboro, Massachusetts, USA - DEC 3, 2011
Mild yeast aroma. Pale yellow with a one finger head that quickly evaporates. A soft malt and yeasty taste. Barely bitter or with a hint of sourness to it. Despite having any distinct qualities it is on the refreshing side and pleasant to drink. I’d take this one over most typical Pale Lager macro-brews.

This is classified as a pale lager, and because of such classification, remained in my collection for a year before drinking. I finally decided to drink it, and it was suprisingly good. Nothing like a pale lager at all...actually tasted more like a red ale. Full malt flavor, maple syrup, nuts and caramel. Perhaps a little too sweet, but nevertheless a suprisingly good beer. Enjoyed this one, and also enjoying supporting the New Orleans economy at the same time.

Appearance: Pours a clear golden body with a small, short-lived white head.
Smell: Light aroma of pale malts and cooked corn with a single, lone drop of honey.
Taste: Exceedingly pale maltiness with a sweet corn taste. Hops give a little zip of grassiness and a mild (and I do mean mild) bitterness. Fairly clean and crisp on the finish.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: A "slow brewed" beer made for quick chugging. Tastes like a Pabst Plus.
