RblWthACoz (959), Brooklyn, New York, USA Feb 12, 2008 Pours a slightly fogged straw gold with a minimal white head. Nose is like roasted malts with a sweet tone to it. Flavor has a roasted edge to it, but it just doesn’t seem clean at all. Pretty uneven and out of balance. I don’t like it. Feel is standard. I can’t really say this is that drinkable.
ILoveNewBeer (80), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Aug 21, 2008 This is a decent beer, nothing special. I drank it around, pure guess, fourty to fifty degrees and there wasn’t all that much flavor. drpimento (478), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA Aug 20, 2008 whoooooo put the skunk in the bottle? Poured with a huge thick foamy white head. Plenty of lace. Flavor wasn’t quite as bad. Not saying a lot. Decent body. pale gold color. Think this one was light struck and woulda been a whole lot better before the dastardly deed. Too bad as this is a sample and therefore won’t be carried. jimmay (13), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada Aug 17, 2008 Bottle from New Orleans. Very pale golden colour. Pale aromas, sweet. definitely smelling the corn. Whiteish head dissipates quickly. Appropriately a pale lager. Cool label. glennmastrange (392), hobe sound, Florida, USA Aug 7, 2008 Bottle. Light aromas of grain, grass, cooked corn, paper and band aid. Head is fizzy, white with no lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is sparkling gold. Flavor starts lightly acidic and finishes moderately acidic and lightly bitter. Palate is light to medium, watery with a lively carbonation. A slightly off aroma, but otherwise nothing offensive. Just an average tasting American Pale Lager. phishpond417 (1360), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Jul 20, 2008 A sub-par beer, (not suprisingly) brewed by Huber for Dixie: Pours golden colour, grainy texture and very malty. Pear, soft citrus fruit and grain in the taste. not impressed at all.
