cking (727), North Canton, Ohio, USA Mar 3, 2008 This was brewed for Dixie Brewing by Joseph Huber Brewing Co. A subtle burnt aroma with strong notes of black strap molasses. Amber-brown pour with a thin, fizzy, light tan head and minimal streaks of lacing. Medium bodied and well carbonated. There’s an empty finish with a metallic aftertaste. Flavors of mild coffee and nuts. Sweet and burnt earthy malt. Rather weak and thin, I wonder if the recipe has suffered due to being contract brewed.

Not bad, really. biggmike (400), Gulfport, Mississippi, USA Aug 18, 2008 Poured a dark amber color with slightly off-white head that didnt last too long. Aroma is of caramel and toffee with burnt notes. The flavor is roasted malt that is a bit sweet. This beer is very smooth and easy to drink. Nothing spectacular, but a decent session beer. jimmay (15), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada Aug 17, 2008 Bottle, from New Orleans. Pours dark brown, not black. Dirty head, condenses quickly, but remains.
