1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
This is pretty bad not going to lie. It tastes of vermouth and has a cheap finish. Try at your own risk.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Location: 12 oz bottle at a party, 6/15/13
Aroma: The nose is light and malty, some caramel notes, grains, and a little grass
Appearance: This beer pours a light amber color with a fairly small head on it
Flavor: The taste is light and clean, some light sweetness, malts, and light bitterness
Palate: The body is fairly light, as is to be expected, and it has a clean, easy drinking feel to it
Overall, this one is plenty solid for a light lager. It isn’t an amazing beer, but in the category you could certainly do a heck of a lot worse. If I saw this one is a cooler full of BMC I’d grab it in a heart beat.

1.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Nearly clear, medium gold with a solid off-white head.
Aroma is stale, bready, sour grain malt.
Initially sweet, then turning to a weak, non-descript bitter.
Not appealing....consider the source.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dixie Jazz Amber Light has a thin, off-white head and a semi-clear, golden appearance, with some bubbles and essentially no lacing left on the glass. The aroma is of sweet, sour, and roasted grain, and the flavor is of those elements, with an added toffee note, and a back sip bitterness. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Dixie Jazz finishes crisp, clean, refreshing, and drinkable. Overall, this is an excellent and unusual light beer. RJT

1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
UPDATED: JUL 12, 2013 The aroma strongly reminds you of the typical American piss water (alcohol, yeast and malt), but the yeast smells more like toast than simply dough yeast; also, the color is pale yellow with nearly no white head, which also doesn’t give you high hopes for the beer. The taste is mildly sour, slightly sweet, and a touch salty, which isn’t that pleasing. The palate isn’t that impressive either with the combination of the thin texture, light body, a soft carbonation, and an abrupt finish.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle. Nose is grassy, lightly stale, little grain and a little powder. Pours a deep orange-golden with an ephemeral white head. Sweet, artificial flavor skirts the rim of being cloying, there’s weak grain and grass, a little stale tasting, and the malt is so thin as to barely register. Light-bodied but not watery, mild and mildly crisp, a little dirty.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a very pale amber color with a quickly diminishing head. The scent already eludes that the taste is going to be that of a cheap beer. There is at least some flavor of so wheat and malts but it is very comparable to that of Miller Lite or Bud Light. Drinks rather fast with no real texture or volume to the beer. This is one you can skip.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Slightly opaque orange amber colour with a skim of white head that rose up upon pouring and then completely capitulated. Aromas of nutty amber malt. Coconut biscuits and macaroons. It really smells tasty.
The flavour is of sweet orange marmalade. Not especially bitter, but charming and quaffable. Not overly complex but thoroughly enjoyable. Became drier and more biscuity the longer it stayed in the mouth. More please.
